- karen b16 contributionsA magical viewWe travelled to Gwangali Beach between Christmas and New Year. The beachfront was alive - even at that time of year. Such a beautiful long white sandy beach full of happy people (all wearing big coats). Then on sunset the lights of the engineering masterpiece, the Gwangandaegyo Bridge provided the perfect view. Boat near the beach were sending up fireworks. It was a magical time.Visited January 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 January 2023
- 지연 정2 contributionsBeautiful scenary of Gwangalli. The scenery of Gwangalli Beach was really nice. We were able to do various activities such as surfing and having fun in the water. But it was a popular tourist destination and crowded with a lot of people who enjoy the activities. So we just dabbled and enjoyed the view of the beach. At night, there were fewer people so we went for a walk around the sea while and feel the mood. I thought it would be great for a date. Because Gwangan Bridge shines brightly with the lights at night and creates a romantic mood. In addition, there are many restaurants and many things to enjoy nearby like souvenir shops and bar with mood. It was a trip that I was satisfied. It's such a nice place, so I recommend you to go!Visited June 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 14 October 2023
- denveristaDenver, Colorado148 contributionsCan't wait to go back somedayI lived in a small apartment in a high rise right on Gwangalli Beach for a month and commuted into Seomyeon on the subway on weekdays (via Geumnyeonsan station). I loved this location. There are plenty of restaurants and cafe/dessert places on every block, and of course there is a 7-Eleven or GS25 on every block, too. Small grocery stores are also within walking distance. It's a great place to walk for exercise, and I felt safe walking alone. There are buskers on the beach, which is fun. It can be a little noisy at night, so try for a higher floor if you face the beach.Visited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 23 October 2023

With sidewalks and shops on one side and a wide strand on the beach side, Guangalli is a great place to walk the beach. Plenty to see and do. Family friendly.

Set in the next bay to Haeundae beach we found this one nicer and livelier. The beach is similar in length as the Haeundae, but contrary to it has many bars and restaurants along it. We even celebrated my daughter's birthday in a great Mexican restaurant.
Nice views of the Busan symbol - Gwangalli Bridge, specially at night.

I went to Gwangalli Beach in Busan with my family last December. Gwangalli Beach is impressive with sand shining during the day, sea waves shining at night, beautiful night views and fireworks make me relieve stress and pretty, magnificant sky make me feel good.At night, I slept in a hotel where I could enjoy the view of the sea, and it was nice to be able to enjoy the night view until dawn. In the morning, I bought coffee at a cafe and walked around the sea. I went to a seafood restaurant for lunch, and there were many seafood restaurants around, so it was good to enjoy the atmosphere of the sea. I think it was a nice tourist attraction which there were no people around the beach, and the surrounding commercial area is clean.

It’s a quaint place with the opportunity to stroll in the evening breeze and also to enjoy the amazing sight of Gwangan bridge being lit up in the evening.
Best to go around dusk and roam around or have coffee or snacks in any of the restaurants around it which also give you a place to enjoy the scenery and then later marvel on the beauty of the Gwangan bridge as the night sets in and the lights on the bridge are switched on.

If I stay in Gwangalli Beach area, is it far from Busan Train Station if I am coming from Seoul and to the Busan Airport if I am flying out to Jeju?

Not that far, you can take train or buses, off course with taxi as well. Allocate 45mins for travelling between Gwangalli to downtown, and at least 1:!5hrs to the airport.
For me, mainly to explore the city downtown area, I chosen to stay around Seomyeon.

Which Busan beach is best for snorkeling? I want to see fish.

Hi, I'm not sure in Busan as there is no reef sections that I know of. Most of the beaches will be nice on a calm day, but you wont see many fish. I live on Geoje Island, there is more marine life there. I hear Jeju Island is the place to snorkel.
Hope this helps a bit

Or any other advice on the mode of transport?
Thanks!

we arrived to the beach from nampodonga 1003 bus. I do not remember stopping at which got off the bus. drove on the navigator. The cost of 1,700 won. from the bus stop you have to pass between the houses to the beach.
