A Fitting Memorial

Such a beautiful and somber place to pay respect to those that died defending Korea. The grounds are beautiful and a fitting memorial to those laid to rest here.

The Cemetery is set amongst immaculately kept gardens and is a respectful memorial for those from many different nations who served and lost their lives. It is well-worth the visit. (Tip:If you go there by taxi, try to arrange for a return pick-up when you get dropped off as it is difficult to hail a taxi in that part of... More

I visited this cemetery as an Australian to pay tribute to my countrymen who fell in Korea. It was so interesting and eye-opening to see all the tributes for all countries involved. I'd also learned the youngest Epson to fall in the war was an Australian, which hit home. This place is incredible and is so full of information and... More

The weather was perfect with a little breeze the day we went, giving the gardens in the UN Memorial Cemetery an extra calmness. The cemetery was very big and would take more than an hour to stroll slowly and take in the beauty and the somewhat heavy weight of the place. Although I knew little about the Korean war, the... The UN Memorial Cemetery doesn’t rival The Arlington National Cemetery in history and in beauty but then again they aren’t really rivals. I was just using the two as a point of reference. I will say it is the second nicest cemetery I’ve been to. It is such a moving place as the UN has honored all of the victims... More

Although somber, this was one of the best places I visited during my late May trip to Busan. Perhaps it was fitting that I went one day prior to Memorial Day. It seemed appropriate to pay tribute to those who gave their lives during the Korean War. This Memorial commemorates the UN troop contributing countries and has its own version... More

I love to visit cemeteries! This was an amazing experience and I felt very lucky to have this as a stop on a tour I went on to Busan. We got there very early in the morning and it very much was to ourselves and the staff who were doing gardening. I loved all the memorials for the different countries... More

This is the first war cemetery I have visited. It was initially not in my places to visit, but my local guide, Frank, highly recommended this place.. and it was definitely worth it! There's a chapel-like building where they would play the documentary of the war as well. Head here first before exploring the place. Beautiful and serene :)

I have visited a few War cemetery, most of them moving and well kept. Especially this Busan UN cemetery, clean and very tidy garden. In a way it's a shame that we can't read the writing on the tomb or else it's might be very moving (might even shed some tear seriously) , as its is not allow to step... More
