This is where all the resorts and watersports etc are centered , the Beau Vallon of Praslin . We dont go there normally as there are so many great beaches here but had lunch yesterday at Paradise Sun and today went diving with Whitetip which is located at the Westernmost end.
Its very sandy and shallow, and the views are nice, but the sand is covered with washed up seaweed.

Amazing beach in Praslin and according to us definitely among top 3 (other 2 being Anse Georgette and Anse Lazio).
The only thing we did not like is due to very fine sand, during high tide it gets very muddy and we saw 2 stingrays right by the shore and we along with few others all got out due to poor visibility on the shallow water.

A beautiful beach with soft white sand and crystal clear waters. It is such a scenic view all around. Not to be missed.
Also, do not miss the Pizzeria on the beach. Amazing food. Loved every bit of the visit.

Truly one of the best beaches in the world. Water was nice and calm and the weather was amazing. The tide was nice and calm to be able to swim and it was not crowded at all. You could have a whole section of the beach to yourself. Fishermen came in with the day's catch and were selling it at a stall nearby. Amazing.

The 1st beach we visited: long shoreline, calm and without too many waves, water temperature is good, and the water is clean.
You can take cruises from the beach, and you can find a few restaurants/bars along the shoreline.

It is a long, white sand beach with beautifully blue clean water - the cliche confirm many tall palm trees. It is practically empty nowadays. The water is clean, no stones or algue. There are almost no waves as it is a small bay - no sellers, jet skis or boats. Just bring your drinks and umbrella and enjoy !

The room was good, clean and the hotel is overall nice.
The beach is amazing, just a. Minute from it our room, also the beach activities are available free of charge..
Beach is very Big, Calm with white sand and turquoise water...
Staff were amazing especially Christopher and the management were amazing especially Veronica.. Food breakfast is a la carte however u can choose all the menue.. Overall was acceptable however if they were changing the daily buffet options that would be a plus..
During our check out we were waiting7 am for the breakfast to eat something before we travel but the waiter told us that the restaurant will not be ready till 8 am which was quite disappointing...

I am planning a trip to Seychelles in July or August 2017 and am thinking about staying at the Cote d'Or. We are travelling with a baby and want to stay close to a nice beach. I know that there is a previous questions about whether or not there is seaweed on Cote d'Or during this period. The only answer says that there is none. However, when looking at photos people posted it seems like there can be a lot of seaweed during July and August. Now I don't know what to think. My questions are.
1. Is there seaweed on the beach during this period?
2. Is there a problem with stingrays? This is of particular concern since we are travelling with a baby.
3. I have read that it is more windy during this period of the year. Are we talking about serious wind or just a pleasant breeze? Will there be waves or is the water calm?
4. On photos there seems to be no lounge chairs or umbrellas? How can we protect ourselves and the baby from the sun? Can you rent an umbrella somewhere?
5. What area of the beach is best to stay? We are primarily concerned with the beach being as beautiful as possible and easy access to the water.

As far as I know there is no living coral arpund Praslin. But you can see som fish at the rocks. St Piere might be a better option for snorkling and seeing fish (so no coral). We were warned for stingray near the beach, but we didn,t see any during our one week stay in march. Some seeweed around this period, but beach is kept clean by hotels.
