We did our PADI Open Water course at Octopus. Our instructor Annesa was super helpful and although she probably did countless other courses before, she was enthusiastic, calm, professional and very patient. In between the dives she also took time to have some chit-chat. After our course we did 6 more dives with octopus, most of the time with Annesa as our Divemaster. All crew members offer their help whenever you need it. They also have great eyes and point out some hardly visible animals. All in all, the atmosphere is very relaxed and chill, but safety is always a priority. The briefings contain all safety relevant information and are always very clear, making you well prepared for the dive site, possible encounters and what to be cautious about. The dive sites are really nice, with recovering coral reefs. I can recommend the centre to everyone travelling to the Seychelles. …

We emailed Veronique a few weeks before our trip as we wanted to make they will have the capacity to take us diving. Once at the dive center we were warmly welcomed by the whole team. Our dive guide Christopher made a group with divers from the same levels so we could really enjoy the dives. We were so lucky to dive some of the furthest dive sites (sister rock, caiman rock..). They even arranged a night dive 1 day earlier than it was planned a so that we could dive altogether with the same divers than in the morning. Instead of 2 dives we decided to go for 5 (would have done even more if we had more time). We were also lucky and saw many species we never saw before..thank you Christopher for being so attentive to the sea life and showing this to us!(Spanish dancer, cow-fish...). We would dive at Octopus any time again! Thanks for making our stay so special!…

My wife and I had done our scuba dive with Octopus divers a couple of days back. It was my fourth dive here. Since we both were not certified divers, we had to dive only at the place the instructor decided i.e. at St.Pierre Islets. The water clarity is superb, perhaps the best one till date. (My previous dives were in Murudeshwar(India) and 2 dives in Gili Trewangen (Bali)). But the dive spot didn't have great aquatic life. We saw a stingray, a reef shark some eels and few foals of fish. There were no coral reefs. I have to say that I was highly disappointed. But my wife who did her 3rd dive was excited and she liked it. Coming to the diving instructor, she seemed knowledgeable. The problem was she didn't give us proper basic introduction. Perhaps I was expecting too much as I kept comparing it with my previous experience at bali. During our dive, we had only one instructor diving along with us, which was surprising to me because,I was told any PADI certified diving agency would send a diver to accompany each fun diver. Though I was disappointed, I liked the clear waters. I wouldn't really recommend diving at Praslin unless you are a certified diver.…

Went there for scuba diving. Not a good experience at all. Dive master was so unfriendly, you can see he either hates his job or he does not like customers. Not a good dive master. Then also after paying so much you still have to carry all your equipment to the boat through the ocean yourself. There is so many staff members that can do that, that is just standing around. The dive site they took us to is all dead. From what people have told us there is so many dive sites that still have coral and are beautiful. …

We took the "introdive", this was my first dive, and I'm not a strong swimmer, so I was quite nervous. The dive-masters (especially Christopher) who prepared us for the dive (equipment and briefing) calmed us perfectly and gave all the information necessary (that is not so much for an intro, basically you have to stay calm and breath). We did the dive itself in small groups, the two of us did the dive with one divemaster. I felt quite safe and looked after despite a bigger group of people being in the boat and this being a very new experience for me. Under the water they helped us see small sharks and turtles and rays and stuff, so I was very satisfied with this first experience.…
