A very positive experience. The tour of the estate, with an explanation of all the rum distillation processes, was excellent and interesting.

The rum tasting is something that is an added value to the whole tour. The price is reasonable and the guided tasting is extremely interesting and entertaining.

Unfortunately, we did not know beforehand that Friday evenings are reserved for partying with rumba music and good drinks. Otherwise, we would have happily spent Friday evening there.

A few hours after the tour we were still enjoying the estate, drinking the best and very affordable cocktails with TAKAMAKA rum! Highly recommended!

Please note the whole visit is a bit of a hoax... the rum os NOT made is Seychelles, but imported and bottled there. Which is fine as a buisness concept, but we need to be told the truth.
Visitors look around you? seen any cane felds? We wer in Mauritius just before, they are everywhere.

Very good visit to the distillery when we were exploring the island. Not a long journey from Victoria.
Free tour which was about an hour and very well delivered. History of the site as well as informative about their current business. The site is a one acre heritage site and very well presented.
The rum tasting also looked good but we didn’t do this part as my husband was driving.
Food and drinks available in a nice garden with plenty of tables with sun shades

The place is very nice. The guide told us the story of the place and of the distilery.
I recommend as a must see and do while on Mahe Island.

A fun place to go and spend a few hours. The tour was a good hour long and interesting, although we got eaten alive by mosquitos walking through the gardens so perhaps put some insect repellent on! We chose not to taste all the rums as we had done the 11am tour so was a bit early. The tour was free but I believe you had to pay for a tasting. We chose to sit in the garden and have a cocktail each instead which was tasty and reasonably priced. There is a food truck which looked to be serving basic food - although we didn’t try it. The shop was also fab - much moved on from when we visited a few years ago with lots of fun ‘Takamaka’ memorabilia you can purchase to take home.

There is a great tour where you can sample the rums Takamaka are creating, but the real fun is on Friday night, where there is a bar, tasty food, and a DJ playing all the hits to shake your hips. Try the Taka Sunrise and the Paloma cocktails - they are sweet but also tasty.
