The city of Nazareth is a beautiful historic city with lots of meaning for the early church and Christian pilgrims. However there are parts of the Nazareth tour which are made to be a bigger deal than they are. Mary's well is one of them. Situated at the back of an Orthodox Church there is not a lot to see... Just from tourism perspective, this is one site to see. But if you have religion and faith in mind, then this place is one of the holiest places. It all depends on how you see it. I am not Christian, but when I see the place as holy as this, all I can do is pay respects in the best... More

I'm not sure what this attraction is even supposed to be. It was originally the location of the he towns public well, today I guess they only turn the water on at certain times because it was dry when we went.

Regardless of the actual place Mary lived, she must have used this well to get water, as it was the only one in the vicinity. It still runs to this day. There are vendors outside selling empty containers so you can fill them on your own with the precious water. Another church built on a holy place.

The well is turned off off season but you go inside the church to the original source of the water and fill your little bottles.

This site is modern and certanly not approaching 2000 years old. Our Guide said he didn't believe there was any evidence tying this to Mary!

The atmosphere of the church is pleasant- even with lots of visitors there is also peace in the place. It was a unique feature of the town with many things to photograph and enjoy

Such a lovely sight. You will see many locals hanging about and just a little further up is the breathtaking Christmas tree. When asking for directions, most people will refer to the well and plenty of restaurants surrounding the area.

it doesn't have water running, but ay way it is the symbol of Nazareth and worth visiting the small site. My mother used to go there to collect water for the homus when she was young girl
