The scenery is amazing, so interesting to see how these people spent their leisure time with the track and the baths.

Amazing to think about what this site was like during its high point. Built right along the Mediterranean it must have been incredible. All of these years and the sand preserved it all.

There are lots of things to see that are very interesting: the ruins of Herod's palace, hippodrome, theatre, old bathhouses, mosaics on the floor. I think it is well worth a visit, and is in a great setting by the sea.
The entrance fee was reasonable compared to Israel prices and entrance fees in other countries to similar things. There are some information boards, but more would help, especially around the theatre area.
There are restaurants and shops near the main entrance, it would be better if these were outside the entrance to the national park.

spread over a wide area, there's a lot to see. It's quite exposed so go prepared with good walking shoes, hat and water.

There are also lots of restaurants and cafes

Explanations or the harbor history are presented in a colorful and lively manner. The movie has been updated and is shown in comfortable new theatre. The exhibits are animated and well organized.

This place got everything, great historical sites, Roman/byzantine ruins, great restaurants, souvenir shops

while a lot of people just think "ruins? boring" i see the ruins as something left by a much higher civilization
as Caesarea was one of THE cities in Roman times (even richer than Jerusalem) thanks to all the imports and exports, the visitors from greece and rome
have definitely made it's mark on Israel

the admission fee is only 14 shekels and while most people come here by tours, i can recommend a solo visit to fully appreciate what once the crown jewel of Judea during a more civilized era...

Incredible Roman structure to view. On the banks of the dashing Mediterranean Sea. Plan to spend a few hours and take many pictures.

The place looked like a dump site. Trash and plastic bags blowing everywhere. Cannot believe that this is how a premier tourist site is maintained. Expensive to enter and would much rather not have bothered. I visited here many years ago and was looking forward to showing it to my teenage children. I remembered it as being far than it is now. It’s a disgrace.

Absolutely fascinating site well worth visiting in the winter. Superb location despite palace subsiding and mosaic flooring being washed by waves - definitely a favourite memory and highly recommended for a cisit
