This is a part of Israel that you can't afford to miss, it is staggeringly beautiful in a barren sort of way! If you visit Masada National Park you get a simply brilliant view of the this valley towards the Moabite mountains. To enjoy this at it's best you do need to spend sometime up high somewhere! Around the area... More

If you are in this part of the Negev Desert, than you go to Avdat Canyon! One of the best natural tourists attraction in this area and you will not regret to go there!

I suggest to visit it when no school groups are due. Their boisterous noise chased away rhe animals. The pool and access way are an easy walk in a wild background.

Combination of desert and water creates beautiful sceneries. It is beyond beauty. A must for "flood hunters".

The Zin River winds its way along its dry river bed through Wadi Zin, with many beautiful secrets to be discovered for the adventurous traveler. Excellent for bike tours or hiking, and also can be accessed by rugged vehicles. If you travel there on a hot day, one of the natural springs will help you cool off. And if you... More

Our third trip to the Negev, and first to Zin. Spectacular vistas. Steep inclines and uneven paths. Make sure you have water and heavy duty hiking boots. Distances are impossible to gage. Views are unbelievable. Remember, when you climb down, you've got to climb back up. The history, and what you see are worth it.

I was invited in a congress in Eilat. One of our friends, Israeli but living abroad, decided to rent a van and move all together toward Eilat, leaving from Tel-Aviv airport. The journey was spectacular, with really many things to see and feeling to experience. This location was not as attractive as expected, compared with the rest.

We had the opportunity to hike in the Zinn River Canyon National Park on a recent tour of Israel with a church group. The canyon and river was a beautiful oasis in the middle of the harsh desert with wildlife and abundant plant life. We only hiked in about a mile and did not hike all the way to the... More

I love the Negev Desert in general, but this area is particularly beautiful, and relatively easy. Highly recommend it, the view from on top of Hod Akev is amazing.

We, in the tour party visiting Ein Avdat, were afforded the opportunity to walk along the Zin river canyon. This was a fairly strenuous walk, but was extremely rewarding in that the views up to the caves in the canyon and the views down from the canyon walls were rich and impressive. Israel has every right to be proud of... More
