About
Towering at 12,224 feet, Mount Rinjani is one of the highest volcanoes in Indonesia. The crowning jewel of Lombok island, this volcanic mountain is popular amongst trekkers and for hikes around its azure crater lake, Segara Anak. A three-day, two-night excursion is a popular hiking option, as you’ll have enough time to trek to the crater rim and visit the crater lake, villages, and hot springs. Other options include a shorter two-day hike that requires good fitness or a more relaxing four-day hike. Join a guided tour for a safe and hassle-free outdoor experience.

Best adventure with Lombok trekking info!
First of all, we liked the direct communication. They responded very fast to our e-mails and the answers to our questions were clear. Once we got there we met fauzi and our wonderful guide anto. They explained what we could expect and were very clear about the different stages of the trek.Throughout the whole trip anto briefings were very useful. Thanks to him we knew how to spread our energy for the three days trekking. Our porters were very friendly and cooked amazing dinner with an original appetizer every evening. The material was perfectly clean and smelled freshly washed. They gave us walking sticks, gloves and flashlights. All in all,we had the most beautiful adventure in our life and would definitely recommend Lombok trekking info to guide anyone who would also like to take this trip. Most importantly;don’t worry about a thing, because every little thing is gonna be allright.

Amazing views of lake and crater
It was a last minute decision but I am glad I did it. Had to rent a jacket, a headlight, and a walking stick - all of these are must haves. I am an occasional hiker and I found Mt. Rinjani to be challenging yet doable. Most of its challenge comes from the fact that there is loose gravel and thick layer of soil all across the trail. Unless you are wearing shoes with some good traction you will find yourself slipping a lot, both while going up and coming down. It becomes particularly a challenge when you begin your trek to summit at 3:00 am. At that point gravel is ankle deep. 2 steps forward are followed by 1 step back, and sometimes 3 steps back. This is where some hikers decide they have reached their limit and turn back. Toilet facilities at base camp are basic, hopefully you don’t have to use for than just pee. Amazing views from top - of the crater, lake, and the valley. Highly recommended.

3 Days 2 Nights Mount Rinjani Hikking with Rinjani Team
I went to Rinjani with Rinjani Team The owner, Mr Abu was great person and also the guide and porters were very friendly and helpful during my trip to Mount Rinjani, The owner sent good driver to come to pick me up from the airport to the hotel accommodation in Senaru. The entire experience was smooth and amazing from the pickup to the drop off. Through the trip they will check in with us to ensure that we are properly taken care of. The entire trip would not have been possible without them because the Rinjani Team organize everything very clear. The owner arranged a private trip for the two of us. Hence, making the experience for us even more fruitful and memorable So you don't have to worry if you will join other groups if you are coming as a couple. Highly recommend Ranjani Team for the trip to Mount Rinjani.

Rinjani: Eye in heaven body in hell
group. Experienced unprecedented prettiest sceneries from Rinjani crater sunset and crater picturesque blue lake. The following night summit attack appears be most challenging hike once in my lifetime. Yet absolutely worthy when able to view uncomparable sunrise at its 3726masl peak. Sort of place one comes once will never forget its beauty. The summit hike makes true a saying " your eye in heaven while body in hell". The 2nd day down-hill to the lake n soak into hot spring was another benefit from the trans route. Full of fowers and natural unique forest plants along descending hike last day was again a shock experience that's so memorable. This time Trans Rinjani. We hiked up an excellent squad, Hiked up to each one's best Fantastic sunrise Starry night sky and Seas of flowers and blooming, Enjoyed happiness, friendship, mutual help, perseverance, and sincere feelings, an unforgettable experience, and a little pride!

Amazing experience with Lombok trekking info and team!
Trekking Mount Rinjani 3D2N summit lake and hot springs.Team were excellent from picking up our group at the airport to dropping us off to our different locations. Rooms were clean and spacious, showers were great.Food was good. Trekking support was amazing and special thanks to our awesome guides anci. These guys took great care of us constantly, set us up in the best campsites, always had food and water available, made sure we were safe and even helped us with some photos. The Porter team provided excellent support, great food and great campsites. We were late back from the summit and only made it as far as the lake on day 2. Camping by the lake was awesome. The team lived up to the name and we didn’t leave any rubbish on the mountain.Highly recommend Lombok trekking info to everyone.👌

    Awesome Trek
Dhyns Rinjani Hiking was amazing from the planning stages to the trek itself. Anci was one of the best tour guides we’ve encountered on our mount rinjani trekking and we’ve travelled a lot so far this year. Anci was patient trekking tour guide but kept a steady pace. Anci our tour guide was reassuring and helped my 13 year old son get through some difficulty close to 3726 above sea level. The porters were efficient friendly and quick service !! The chefs made the most delicious foods every time- couldn’t believe they managed this on the trek. I would recommend Dhyns Rinjani Hiking to anyone deciding to go trekking in Mount Rinjani Lombok.

    Amazing experience
We did the 3 day 2 night guide with Ecan and his team. Ecan the guide spoke amazing English and loved reggae! From the moment he picked us up he had a smile on his face and this continued throughout the hike, he always licked up the energy when we got tired. He was very knowledgeable and an amazing guide. The porters looked after us, cooked amazing food and did their jobs perfectly. We had the best experience we could have hoped for, it was the best climb and hike we've ever done. We are so happy I have shared it with Edi and his Team Rinjani Group Trekking high recommendation for your trip you can visit Rinjani group trekking and the manager quickly replay by WhatsApp +6281353755621

Had the most amazing experience with Lombok trekking info. Did a 4 days 3 nights trekking and the team took really good care of us.
Our guide ali and the porters all were very nice (and extremely strong), the atmosphere was good and they went the extra mile for us! Here are some examples:

A hot tea on top of the summit, fresh fish from the lake, popcorn after a shower in the hot springs.

All the food was very tasty and healthy, enough water and snacks, a hot drink with every meal, and even some soft drinks.

The trekking itself is very challenging, but it will bring you to the most beautiful places and that makes it so worth it.

hugly recommend Lombok trekking info to everyone!!

Thanks to team for keeping us for 3 day 2 night in mount rinjani. Guide and porter are our new family in Lombok Indonesia cause all of the are very friendly. Also they are cooking very well and delicious food we had during the trip with always different menu everyday. We are so happy to join lune rinjani everything is more than we expected from the day zero to end of our adventures is an memorable experience.

Notice.. Rinjani one of the mostly heavy mountain for sure you need more mineral water. But we are happy lune prepare 3 and half liter a day per person.

Warm jacket are very important for the summit.

Shoe's are good grift to make your steep to summit more comfortable.

Trekking Poles are will very important to help your knee for down hills.

Masks are needed cause down will be dusty if someone past you and wind will bring dust to pace.

All that lune is explain us very detailed. And lune Rinjani gave us to borrow the trekking poles. Very recommended.

I did a solo 3D 2N trek. I wanted to write a review as I feel this is an important piece of information to know before booking your trek. I chose to do the route starting at Sembalun and finishing at Torean. I HIGHLY recommend this route. On day 2 you will summit, which is approx 3.5hours up and 2 hours down and one of the most challenging parts of the hike. After doing this if you go back through Senaru you need to hike an additional 3 hours uphill to get to the next camp. Trust me after doing the summit you do not want to do any more uphills. Also the views going the Torean route were incredible and not to be missed! It feels like you are in Hawaii or Scotland. This way you can see the waterfalls and hot springs also. Do not make the mistake going home via Senaru. The way home through Torean was a highlight of my trek.

We just completed our Rinjani Hike with uji trekking. The team was professional and were able to provide everything we required.
The food cooked was delicious, tents were comfortable and equipment provided was top notch.
A special shoutout to our guide nas who was the best guide I’ve ever experienced. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Mount Rinjani.
He always made sure that our comfort and safety was his priority and his actions reflected that.
One particular incident was when we came down to the campsite after the summit,we were really tired and wanted to take a short nap.
Knowing that it was sunny,he helped cover our tent with a sleeping bag and tie our tent such that wind was able to come in,allowing us to sleep comfortably.
This is just one incident and there were many throughout the 3 days that made me admire him.Once again, thank you uji trekking for the last 3 days! 100% recommend to anyone!!

We had an amazing trip to hike mount rinjani volcano. We do 2 day 1 night program senaru crater. Cause a lot of people told us to hike from senaru to enjoy the lake and amazing sunset are easier and more comfortable. Cause of the long day trip we had walking through the rain forest lest Sunny and not crowded. And we booked at lune Rinjani one of the trekking companies for us he gave us a very reliable price. The service was super great, guide and porter very friendly and helpful and good photography as well. The trekking equipment is a good help for the mount to keep us warm. Breakfast is 5 stars. We highly recommend it for private service to get more handle and romantically.

Our group of 2 couples paid for a 3 days 2 nights package consisting of ascending via Sembalun on the first day, summit climb and descending via Torean with a night to be spent at the crater lake in between.

We are in our mid 40s, with decent flat trail hiking experience, zero experience climbing a mountain (Mount Batur was our first but that doesnt really count compared with Rinjani) and we've had zero physical training preparations for Rinjani. We are also sea-level creatures, being from the little island of Singapore, so acclimatizing to mid-dizzying heights is something new and troubling for us. We also worked as desk-slumpers in air-conditioned comforts. One of us even has a constant continous battle with pot-belliness with a body weight almost nearing 3 digits. I believe you can imagine our 'physical prowess' prior to tackling this mountain.

So for those reading this and are moulded in the same image (physically) as us wishing to attempt this mountain, the following are our tips.

1st day climbing to crater rim - we did not do all of the below but we wished we did on hindsight (or next time).
- Take an ojek (motorcycle) to Pos 2, it will save you a lot of time and your legs will be less fatigued, you will need to save up all the leg power for the summit climb.

- If you are carrying backpacks weighing 8 kgs and above, hire an additional porter to carry it for you. You can just carry a smaller 8-10 litre daypack with a 2-3 litres hydration bladder, energy bars and your personal documentations/money. Your body centre of gravity will likely slightly shift when you carry heavy packs and your muscles will have to over-compensate to correct the shift, especially on the steep climb after Pos 3. Your shoulders and neck will thank you for this.

- Try to finish your prepared meals, you need all the calories you can get and put some calories in reserve. i lost almost 4,500 calories on the first day and my intake was only about 1,200 calories. Due to this, my fatigue was amplified due to lack of energy. The temptation to pinch or eat a quarter of your meals is understandable as you may want to try to limit your intestine movements and close your bowel valves, given the 'toilet' facilities higher up the mountain. Its not as bad as it sounds though, I emptied my bowels on a daily basis up there.

For not doing the above, we reached the crater rim campsite close to 7pm (Average ETA time is about 4.30pm). As a result, it leads to a knock down effect, we had dinner late, we slept later and had insufficient sleep and muscle recovery as we had to wake up at 1.30am later for the summit climb. We also missed the highly anticipated sunset views while sitting on a camping chair sipping a hot cup of tea.

The Summit Climb - We woke up at 1.30am, half recovered from the punishment of yesterday. Had breakfast and set off at 2pm.

The summit climb is divided in 3 parts.

First part was a very steep incline climb with loose volcanic sand/rocks to reach the ridge. The infamous saying of 2 steps up 1 step down was indeed true. Your 2 trekking poles would be your good friend here. Average time to clear this part is about 1.5 hrs, but I took 3 hours. Goodbye to sunrise views at the summit.

Second part would be the ridge walk, this part is slight more easier as the gradient is less punishing and the ground slightly more solid. But even so, as my legs were already tired from the first part, I took about 3 hours to clear this part when the average time will only took about an hour.

Third part would be the infamous Letter E, majority of those who turned back would've done it 100 metres into attempting this Letter E. My 'body battery' has already depleted at this point, my legs were numb, my feet non-existential, my body cold from the chilly winds (my watch showing 3 degrees celsius), cant feel my finger tips even though i'm wearing thick gloves. If you are from a tropical country and not used to sub 5 degrees celsius temperature, its recommended you wear your layers in an overly prepared fashion. I wore normal tropical hiking pants, normal socks, normal underwear, normal beanies, normal dri-fit long sleeve shirt and a windproof hardshell. I almost turned back because of the cold, it really saps the life out of you. Moreoever, i have asthma, inhalers doesnt seems to work up there, i think because of the cold, my airways contracted to the point medicine doesnt have any effect anymore. I shoud've worn at the minimum, wind-proof inner fleece layered pants, thermal socks, thermal underwear, thick wooly beanies, neck gaiter, a baselayer, fleece jacket and hardshell jacket. Better to over-wear rather than under-wear. The terrain is almost like the first part but the rocks are bigger and much looser due to zero vegetation. You will either slide down for every two steps or you will just fall forward. The strong winds pretty much puts you off balance and there are no big rocky outcrops to take a brief respite from the winds. Your trusty trekking poles is your third leg here. I took 3 hours to clear this part when the average time to clear is about 1.5 hours.

Average times to reach the summit is at 5.30-6am, in time to see the sunrise. However I reached the summit at 11am, instead of seeing sunrise at my eye level, i have to tilt my head 80 degrees to see the sun. The guide might have said i had just probably inadvertently set a Rinjani record of reaching the summit in a little over 9 hours when others took 4 hours. And that is just ascending. The only plus side is I had all the summit to myself for a little tea party. After spending about an hour on the summit, i descended and reached back to the campsite at 5.30pm. 14 hours of walking. Another Rinjani record.

Because of the knockdown effect mentioned earlier and our 'physical prowess', we had to forego the crater lake and descending via Torean, instead we spend another night to rest at the crater campsite and descend the same way we came up which is via Sembalun.

All in all, we are immensely proud of ourselves as our main goal was the Summit. It was purely 20% physical and 80% mental strength and determination that pushed us. Rinjani truly humbled us with its fearsome and daunting reputation and at the same time awe-ing us with its beautiful views all around no matter where you are standing. And a HUGE respect to our porters and guides, we could not have done it without them. They are the true heroes, they are doing it for their ricebowls to feed their families while we are doing it to feed our recreational needs. It was truly an eye-opener and makes us appreciate what we have even more. We truly re-discovered ourself after this adventure. Halfway trudging up the summit, i kept cursing myself in my thoughts of what am i doing here when i can be lying on a Lombok beach or why the hell i'm wasting money to punish myself. But i realised that I'm not fighting the devil in me, he has gone down way earlier to suntan on a beatiful Lombok beach. I was actually fighting myself.

P/S: We are planning to return next year, albeit with better physical preparations ;)

Did 2D1N trek to the summit. Beautiful mountain and scenery just don’t look down at the rest stops and crater rim camp areas as they are trash heaps including feces. Maintained trail? Very little, lots of obstacles on the so-called trail with the final few kilometers on scree. Hike is hot and humid - very few insects. Summit area is small so actually better to enjoy the sunrise on the ascent to the summit thus avoiding cold wind and crowds.

Porters do a great job including ample meals not only on the rim but during ascent and descent. Also vendors along the way including Starbucks-Rinjani at the crater and others for those looking for a sugar fix/snack. Do tip your porters, very tough trek for them. Also possible to get a scooter ride part way up or down.

I’m age 71 and found widespread age discrimination by trekking companies so had to search around for a company. Did I make it to the summit-yes, but I was never in doubt as I’ve done many mountains. Not sure what the local law requires but we had one guide for seven hikers. I suggest anyone planning a trip ensure there are at least two. Things can and do go wrong. Safety!
