A really nauseous road, around 3.5-4 hours from Maumere, but it ended up giving you a breathtaking sunrise view. Most of tourist could only see 2 crater since the 3rd crater are oftenly covered by haze. Go there early before the dawn. Parking lot was located around 20-30 mins walk to the crater

See the wonder of the changing colors of the lake. Bring a good camera. Good shoes, snacks and enough drinking water... something never to forget. Medium hiking skils are a must.

It was an easy walk - obviously hot but not crazy heat. Locals sell water along the way. Beautiful clear views and we were the only people... More

Totally worth getting up at 4am for the short walk up to the summit. Catch a bike up for 50000 and wander down with your new friends. Take food with you. You will get hungry on the walk down.

Kelimutu lake is beautiful lake in Moni - Ende. If you plan to visit this lake better in the early morning, where you can see amazing sunrise and beautiful 3 colored lakes that believed by local peoples as lake of dead ancestors.
