It's always wonderful to see nature beauty. And that's include Kelimutu. The only thing I didn't enjoy was I have to woke up very early in the morning.

We went to Kelimutu lake in May and flying into Ende from Bali. Our driver Richardo (Strom a native to the area) was friendly, a safe skilled driver (the roads can be slippery) offering a reasonable price with a good car (ok English telephone 085-333-209992)....More

Wow... the lakes are amazing. We woke up early to catch the sunrise. I expected rose lake, but who am i kidding. It was great anyway. I loved it. It was excellent.

See the wonder of the changing colors of the lake. Bring a good camera. Good shoes, snacks and enough drinking water... something never to forget. Medium hiking skils are a must.

Made the choice to not rise at 4 as other guests at our hostel said it wasn't really worth it as the clouds didn't clear so the sun didn't shine on the lakes. It was an easy walk - obviously hot but not crazy heat....More

This place is awesome great sunrise views and the water was so so blue !!! a must do ! Make sure to wrap up warm as it can be cold early morning ...

Komodo or Rinca Island located at Labuan Bajo, while mount kelimutu located in Ende. So either you want to do a road trip or took a flight. You can spend 2-4 days exploring Labuan Bajo (live onboard). There are many agents... More
Hello. I am visiting mount kelimutu in April of of this year. I want to know about how long does it take to walk back down the mountain and is it worth it? I have a flight at 240 from ende to labuan bajo- if I do a sunrise tour, will I have enough time to see the lakes and get back to ende? any information is appreciated!

Would be tight, you must have a driver ready and leave from there around 8:30 at the latest, the sunrise is around 5am, so doable. Often landslides on the way to Ende so check right before you go as that can easily add... More
