The Paotere Harbor is a must visit for travelers to Makassar. There you can witness ships from all over Indonesia being unloaded with produce and goods. Fascinating.

Bit difficult to reach this place with worst traffic but when we are there...is pay off and worthed...we can see traditional large boat with old truck is look we go back 50year, recommend for who have photography hobbies

Poatere harbour , Jalan Sabutung Paotere , Makassar, Indonesia is just abt 5km from the main Port of Makassar.You can take public transport PT-PT for less than $4 USD to take you there.
