What a great story of Indonesia is told lovingly at this museum! Two things to be aware of are: (1) closes for a long lunch hour; and (2) the sidewalk outside is in the shape and design of batik. Do enjoy this taste of batik.

We have been visited this museum. Guided tour very instructive. At the end, possibility to see workers creating batik. I fully recommend.

Compare to the other worlds museum you will find nothing compare to this museum. A very indulging, back to yesteryear, an awesome guide, a fully picturesque places, you will be no regrets to come.

Museum contains many historical, early paintings of batik in reference to to sultans of the time periods. beautiful batiks paintings and desings. Provides a good narrative and a 30-45 minute tour is benefical to grasp a good understanding of batik and the variuos patters
