Definetely we want to see the temple, not the surrounding, we were asked for 7.500/ pax, but when we want to see the temple we were asked again for 20.000/ pax. It's all about the money....

This place is quite far from Lawang Sewu. For solo traveller like me i took Gojek with good price to reach here. 10k IDR entrance is reasonable to spent for this kind of place. The temple is for buddhist prayer but in the same time open for tourist. Please aware that there is a restricted area especially in active prayers... More

Visit the temple during a working day and under hot temperature. Even though the place is quiet, the ticketing staff seems busy with a noisy chat with her colleagues. Lots of families. Food vendors, etc. Temple is open air. Walls have detailed historical carvings. Can be seen in short time.

Sam Po Kong temple is well known for the history of the Chinese admiral who came to Indonesia, fell in love with this place and lived in central java bringing all the acculturation between Chinese and local people. This is for the first time I Come to Semarang and also visit to Klenteng Sam Po Kong. It's very beautiful, when I'm coming to this place, I don't feel in Semarang but I'm feel in China. High proud for Semarang you have so many beautiful place like this.

I visited sam pho koong in the sunny day and fortunately it could promote amazing pictures result! Being dominated by red color as a symbol of mostly budhist temple, your pictures would be very great. You could also rent chinese traditional clothes with extra charge to compliment your visit here as of you're in China...

Average temple but have some historical sculpture (Zheng Hee Sculpture). Zheng Hee is Chinese soldier who come and stay in Indonesia.

Buy a ticket was a must here, but you musn't worry it was not much unless you want to pray. But unfortunately we could not enter the temple as a visitor.
