One of the Biggest Temples / Vihara that I ever seen!
Lots of historical buildings / Temples inside and has a huge Parking Lot! But be aware of local Pungli and they will take you more money for parking. Just tell them you already paid!
The Entrance Fees was 20k/person for just the Temple's Yard.
Still a breathtaking Temple!

Incredibly beautiful temple complex of Chinese origin but now accommodating Muslim, Buddhist and other ethnic. Amazing architecture in a mix of ornate Chinese and Javanese architecture, the decorative roof carvings an outstanding feature. The complex includes six places of worship: Sam Poo Kong, Tho Tee Kong, Kyai Juru Mudi, Kyai Jangkar, Kyai Cundrik Bumi and Mbah Kyai Tumpeng. The history of the site dates to the early 1,400's, a hillside cave used for prayer. The site has had various owners over the centuries and numbers of worshippers fluctuated until the site was transferred to the Sam Poo Kong foundation in 1924.

What a nice landscape we got here! Took sooo many pictures, since there are a lot of attractions besides the temple itself. However, certain areas are restricted for regular tourists due to worship activities. You can buy all-in ticket. Food stalls are available inside the area, so no need to worry about hunger!

This is a very famous chinese temple in Central Java. A lot of people come to this temple praying and asking for prosperity. The part of the temple for praying is a small one. You get your entrance fee back if you come for praying, not as a visitor. It's not only chinese people who come to this temple for praying but also the javanese. There is a kind of acculturation between javanese and chinese tradition here. The most interesting of this temple are "the one year" giant candles. The candles are burning the whole year.

First time went there in Feb, 2020 and we paid for a Guide and access to the inside. It's quite nice for taking pictures and listening to the stories (I can't confirm if they are all true though). We arrived at 8 AM and it was already HOT. Highly recommend to bring umbrellas and suitable clothes for your own comfort. There are good spots for pictures.

So much is written about this place already and for someone interested with history and architecture, this place is awesome. Most important part is probably visiting the stone cave and see the wonderful architecture.
On a side note - it's always crowded so getting a good photo remains a challenge.

Other than these majestics statue and relics, there's nothing much to do here. I was a bit disappointed because no tourist guide was around. The place is huge, but coming here once and spend like an hour or so is enough. Unless if you are doing religious activities and praying.

This temple located near Semarang downtown. The complex was huge. There were many buildings and statues inside the complex. The complex was divided into two area, plaza area and temple buildings. This is a must visit place in Semarang.

I believe this is one of the landmarks in Semarang, if you have time, just come at least to see its beautiful architecture.
I did not expect that the place would be that huge. It was like you were in China.
Many photo spots available. But, please don't forget, it is actually the place to pray.
My question up until now, "where is Cheng Ho's boat replica?". I bought full access ticket, just to see the boat. I asked some people in uniforms, but no one cared to answer. Because I respected this place as a sacred place that I didn't really looking for it.
