With a foreign tourist entry price of Rp10,000, this one will not break the bank.
Lots of school excursions happening on our Wednesday middle-of-the-day visit.
The museum is housed in a very interesting old building which must have been magnificent in its day.
Whilst many of the exhibits were described in multiple languages, the descriptions were often quite small and difficult to read. In one instance the description was set at over two metres (Australian spelling!) from the ground making it impossible to read.
The lift (elevator) was out of action during our visit; a consideration for those with mobility issues as the stairs leading to the second level are a little steep.
It was interesting to see the dinosaur-era skeletons and some quite amazing (and huge) mineral samples. Otherwise, not much that cannot be gleaned from a David Attenborough documentary or by trawling the internet.

One of the cheapest tickets museum I have ever go. Clean and quite informative. Children can enjoy and learn much. They keep the dutch architecture and combine it with a modern touch.

We visited the museum when it was already closing time. So we really didn't get to explore much. But the elephant artifact at the entrance was impressive and huge.
I think this is a better museum than the Gedung Sate museum which is just a 5-minute walk away. If you're visitng on a Sunday, make sure you'll be there before 2pm. Visit the Geology museum first before the Gedung Sate museum.
I think the Geology museum is closed on Mondays.

Strategic location, pretty old and historical building, few exhibits (too bad the Dino section was under maintenance while we visited the museum). There were some parts of the museum looked like under lighting and the AC not working well, but in the other parts looked more modern with cool AC, good lighting and modern exhibits.
Please keep improving the museum as it will be useful for the future generations to come.

The displays were numerous and varied. However, the font size used for the sign boards was way too small and the place was not very well-lit so I found it difficult to read descriptions, labels and such. Also, one of the galleries in the second floor did not have AC and was rather warm and stuffy. Worth a visit but it would do well to manage your expectations!

The museum, which is located on Jalan Diponegoro, Bandung, is one of the historical monuments protected by the government. In it stored various geological objects, such as fossils, rocks, volcanic ash, and various other objects. It is better to register first, in order to get a guide who can explain in more detail about what is in this museum. #batulocalguides #letsguide

Good place to bring kids here, to intro Duce children to Indonesian geological history. The place ia uniq with old style Art Deco building and the atmosphere is pleasant.
Many artifacts and information obtained from objects on display in the museum.
Clean place with garden in front the museum. Hope the visitors can be orderly and participate in maintaining the cleanless of the museum by not littering and damaging objects around the museum.
