Had an awesome Time there. Be careful with the babies because the mothers and the other bigger monkeys protect them. Please be careful while taking food cause you are gonna find yourself surrounded. Be sure to have your camera ready cause you don't know when the monkeys are gonna jump on you.

Something you must see if you make it to Ubud. And buy the bananas, make sure you have a bag to put them in or you will find monkey friends coming after you. Walk the entire trail if you can, a little up and down but the sights and experience is worth it.

A incredible rainforest abutting the town of Ubud. The sanctuary is full of statues depicting idols from the Hindu mythology.

The monkeys, while cheeky and often eager to jump on passersby, are a real treat to go and experience. Incredible animals with quick minds provide good entertainment.

You will have a total blast and get great photos of monkeys all ages, moms and babies, and watching them jump into the river and play around is priceless. Follow the rules! People do stupid things like feed them from a water bottle which you aren't even supposed to bring in. I had monkeys jump on me three times but... More

The monkeys will leave you alone for the most part unless you have food. So be very cautious if you buy bananas, don't buy too many and maybe get help from a staff member if you wanna use them for a picture with a monkey. Otherwise they will hold you hostage until you give them all the bananas, a monkey... More

My friend and I made a stop at the sanctuary during a day tour. I quite like animal experiences so this was a highlight for us. I had an opportunity to walk among and feed the monkeys as well as observing the mothering of many babies. The support staff do a good job of protecting the monkeys as well as... More

My husband and I visited monkey forest today. On entering gate my husband purchased some bananas for the monkeys. He barely took two steps when a large monkey jumped on him and tried to take the whole bunch. He broke off one but the monkey wasn't happy about that despite having one in his hand he jumped back on my... More
