Awesome experience. Love the jungle-like ambient. Don't be afraid to pay 50k rupiah for bananas inside with forest-staff to get an awesome experience with monkeys jumping on your head and shoulders grabbing them immediately (if you don't have food they calmly ignore you most of...More

It's a huge and well-maintained sanctuary, worth the price for an experience as such. Monkeys seemed to be well-fed and well-behaved. There were signages everywhere to remind visitors of le do's and dont's, as well the monkey whisperers for lookouts. Keep up mgt.

We didn’t buy bananas- if you just kneel on the ground quietly they are inquisitive enough and climb all over you. Kept my bag securely closed however they are mischievous and will take a chance. Beautiful surroundings. Staff are around if the monkeys get carried...More

For only 50 000 idryou can visit the Monkey forest. The site is massive and you can easily spend 2hours in the forest obeserving the monkeys. They are not aggressive at all as long as you don't touch them and scare them. If you want...More

We were pretty surprised to see other tourists actively goading the monkeys to jump up on them and take food from their hands. In our experience, several of the monkeys were a bit aggressive, even without any provocation--one monkey came up to me, reared up...More

Really a nice place where to walk and enjoy nature. Do not expect nothing "excessive", but just appreciate the beauty of the nature and of the monkeys playing around you...

Well kept open park and forest with lots of little and BIG monkeys. The signs at the park clearly explain before you enter how to behave in the monkey forest and what and what not to do as these are wild animals. Follow the rules...More

Definetely check out the monkey forest if you have the chance to do so because the nature is breathtaking and you probably won't have the chance to see that many monkies in one spot again soon. However, be respectful towards the animals and, most importantly,...More

A great way to spend an hour whilst in Ubud. Beware of any valuables you may have with you as monkeys are thieves. Great to go see them and watch their cheeky mannerisms. Some cute little babies hanging onto their mums and some great picture...More

Monkeys were nice and didn't even try to steal anything from us, they did jump on us few times but they were small and didn't hurt us at all. One monkey even tried to share his banana or what was left of it. I had...More

It is 50.000 per person, you can walk around and visit 4 small temples. There is also a small cemetery for the people from the village. And you can feed the monkeys.

Hi Tony, I went there with my big Canon camera and I took a lot of pictures with no problem. The monkeys are just looking for bananas but they were not aggressive. Have a good time there.
