The Campuhan Ridge Walk is arguably the best known Ubud trek and with good reason. The sparse crowds and the aesthetically rich vistas remind one of why people from around the world come to Bali. The trail starts at the historical origin of Ubud, the confluence (or Campuhan) of the Wos Rivers.

Walked onridge one morning early, access just outside Warwick Ibah Hotel. Go early as it is some climb to get to top of ridge where it is fairly flat but in sun. At end of ridge there is a coffee shot to have a drink before reterning. Beautiful view of the indigenous forrest.

Took an hour all in to walk along the trail. Fairly steep climb to the top, gorgeous views once you are up there. We left our hotel at about 7am and got to the trail by half past and it was fine.

I've done the Campuhun ridge walk twice now, once in August and then December. August was very temperate and an easy walk but December was extremely hot and very humid. If doing the walk in the monsoon months start as early as possible and take lots or water. If you finish at the small art shops keep walking about another... More

Went around lunchtime, very hot. A fair few people on the ridge. Nice views and a great restaurant at the top. You walk past a beautiful temple and tree lined road on the way to the walk. definitely worth the effort.

While definitely not as impressive as some of the other rice terraces, but this is still a beautiful walk through a much less touristy part of Ubud. Not super steep or intense, it is a fairly leisurely walk. There are several cute little places to stop and get a cold drink as a repreive from the heat.

We took this walk in the morning, and glad we did, as there is no relief from the heat. Take water, enjoy the view. Ubud is so busy and to get a little piece of quiet, this is the place to go. The walk is on a paved path and offers rice paddy scenery, lots of butterflies, and fauna.

Highly recommend this walk for those after a more peaceful walk with beautiful scenery and not a huge crowd.

A must do when you are in Ubud. The path is well paved and you will have some very beautiful views during your walk. Start early , it will be too hot if you start later in the morning. Maybe you will meet some locals, going to work our school and can have a nice chat with them. Have a... More

My husband and I did this walk one afternoon from Ubud town. It's a little confusing to get to - it's well signed, but you have to keep walking for a couple of hundred metres or so before you get to the rice fields proper. There were rice fields in all stages of growing, and so great little cafes along... More
