Had such a wonderful morning on the off course tour with wayan! Despite the rain we had an amazing adventure through the rice paddies and met some of the farmers and experienced truly beautiful scenery! Don't forget good footwear, especially if it's wet and you'll have a fantastic, relaxed time!

Despite some good days out with the hotel cars we decided that we should go for a walking tour around Ubud, a place we'd stay at some 17 years ago. During our drive up from Jimbaran it was clear that the area around Ubud had developed quite significantly in the intervening years but we arrived in a beautiful small village... More

I booked this tour based on TA reports. Was a bit concerned about what type of footwear was appropriate as others had commented on need for hiking shoes so emailed Wayan. We only had standard sneakers. His email reply was that "plip plops" OK. This was very misleading. Our sneakers were barely adequate, admittedly there had been heavy rain the... More

Wayan collected us from our hotel and took us on a great journey through the rice fields and jungle. An excellent walk through some remote spots, followed by lunch at Wayan's house where his wife cooked an excellent lunch. Would highly recommend.

We booked the walking tour because of a recommendation of our travel agent back home. He told us it was one of the most fun things to do in Ubud and he was completely right. Wayan takes you on an amazing walk through jungle and rice fields and you really feel like you're in a movie scene, away from the... More

I did the afternoon tour with Wayan. He was very accommodating and customized my trip a little bit since I didn't want to do the hike, so we went to the Water Temple instead. The coffee plantation was super cool - a surprising highlight for me. You get to taste a bunch of different local herbal teas and coffees and... More

Our morning out with Wayan was brilliant! It started at 8:00 am and we were back at our hotel around 2:00 pm. He collected us and returned us to our hotel in Ubud and proved a lively and informative guide. We visited a local temple in Laplapan, which was being decorated ready for a major religious ceremony; a local house... More

I was the only person on this tour. Wayan (owner & tour guide) was very informative, friendly & accommodating. The Balinese compound was really interesting as it is inhabited by the extended family. Wayan also runs accommodation behind his own residence, which he showed me. It was very nice, new, very affordable & was overlooking beautiful rice fields. I think... More

We booked Wayan for a half day tour. Wayan took us to his Grandmother's compound and explained how the family lives. We were the only people on the tour which was a bonus. He gave us an option of the hilly treck or the flat treck. We chose the hilly, which wasn't hard provided you had on good shoes and... More
