Established in 1989, The Casa Luna Cooking School is Bali's most renowned cooking school. Set in the lush grounds of Honeymoon Guesthouse in Jalan Bisma, classes run 7 days a week and include a vegan class, smoked duck twilight class, market tours, food tours and daily sessions. Learn the secret language of spices from our experienced teachers and taste a world of exotic Balinese flavours. Fresh hibiscus tea is served on arrival followed by a discussion about spices, the preparation of all the ingredients, ending in a delicious, memorable feast.

Bit doubtful about the fish curry but honestly some of the best food I tasted in Bali and I made it! All the food was delicious - spicy but not for spicy sake. The lady teaching us was hilarious, cracking jokes but also explaining the...More

We did the cooking class combined with a market tour and found it very nice. The market tour was entertaining and interesting. Our guide seemed very knowledgeable and explained a lot about Balinese food. The cooking class was more of a demonstration but the food...More

My husband and I did the duck cooking class some time ago. Would love to do this again sometime in the future. Teacher was very knowledgeable and taught the entire class new skills

I looked online at what the menu was for that day and booked our class from NZ before I left which was an easy process - plus we were staying at Honeymoon Villas so the charge was just on our bill. And you get a...More

We went to the market tour followed by cookery class. The market tour was interesting but nothing we couldn't have managed alone - beware that you will probably (definitely) pay over the odds for goods at the chosen stalls! Back to the cookery school that...More

Thanks so much for your fair and thoughtful review. Our class is a combination of hands-on and demonstration and that's because we like to teach the step-by-step process of cooking each dish, as well as, describe the distinct qualities and quantities of the ingredients. We...More

We had diner here twice. The food is excellent, from starters to desserts! The bar is at the lower level and there was a good live band playing. We were on the upper level, which was totally open air! Prices are correct!

Thanks so much for your lovely review! I think you were in Casa Luna and not the cooking school - but hey we are all the same place anyway. Hope to see you again. Janet

Thanks so so much for your super kind review. We love repeat customers, especially when they return with their gorgeous children. And yes we don't actually do 100% hands-on because our job is to share information, so we like the class to stop and listen...More

Two of us joined the morning market tour and class. The market tour was interesting and insightful and the guide, Oleg, was very good. However, when we returned to the cooking school for our class there were almost 30 of us and just four cooking...More

Contrary to my understanding of what a cooking class involves (which is based on having done multiple other classes on previous holidays), there was practically no hands on aspect other than being allowed to chop a few vegetables and take turns to use a mortar...More
