We were staying in Ubud and decided to try a bit of rafting while we were here. Our hotel organised it and Masons were the company delivering the experience. We were picked up in good time and as soon as we arrived we were looked after really well. The experience was phenomenal, really worth the money (4 of us around £160), as you see such an amazing river, whilst having a good adrenaline rush. I’d recommend these over the other companies as they start further up the river, and therefore you get to go for longer. You also get lunch and transport. Our guide, Jabrik, was a top guy and great rafter. He got us down the river, giving us a few adrenaline rushes along the way! You’ll see loads of other rafting companies along the river, but they look cramped!

Amazing experience today, the elephants are really well looked after, they each have there own keeper and they make sure they are ok,
Our safari guide knew everything about the elephants and the sanctuary and happily answered any questions we had.
Our jumbo wash experience was amazing, we were not rushed through and the keeper took lots of photos and videos and let us make our mind up when we were done.
The buffet lunch was good with everything from soups to desserts.
The only downside was the travel for us because we were 2 hours away it was a long trip in traffic.
All up it was worth the money and the fact that the money goes back into the sanctuary makes it even better. Well worth a visit

We recently were in Bali for our honeymoon and went on both the cycling tour and the white water rafting with Mason’s.
I would highly recommend the company they are very professional, the guides are all knowledgable friendly helpful and make the experience great fun!! The cycling tour is all downhill I’d say accessible to all and you can walk some sections if you want to! Great chance to see the local scenery in Bali!
The white water rafting was the best thing we did in Bali, so much fun, with severely professional and safe instructors compared to other companies where there have been recent accidents. Special shout out to Jackie our white water rafting instructor he’s amazing at his job!

All the trips have a lovely meal included and water etc as needed!
Book on and enjoy

I had the elephant experience. I wouldn’t recommend this park to anyone who truly cares about wildlife . I visited this park hoping to see elephants in a safe and protected environment, but I was sorely disappointed. It was heartbreaking to see that the elephants here seem neglected and unprotected.they hit them with a snitch to train them and obey them .I saw them to be on the spine with the tourist and snitch them with this tool to obey for the photos .Moreover there were many chains on their leg that probably fasten them .
It’s disheartening to think that a place promoting itself as a sanctuary offers such little respect and care to its animals.
it felt like a tourist trap that prioritizes profit over the welfare of the elephants.
This is not a resque place for the animals .
I hope the management will reconsider their practices and put more effort into caring for these animals. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend this park to anyone who truly cares about wildlife .

Sorry for the long post and I have tried to be fair and give positive feedback where I can but unfortunately this experience has some opportunities for development.
We were happy with the experience at the elephant sanctuary, which included optional washing, feeding and riding of elephants. There was also an enjoyable lunch as part of the package. The whole experience took about 2 hours and then there’s not much to do, it took less than 30 minutes to look at the museum though it was very interesting.
Not so good was the transport in a small older model minibus/people mover with broken springs in the seats and which was packed to capacity on the journey to the sanctuary.
Being the smallest of the passengers I was asked if I would occupy the middle of the seat in the row behind the driver. I spent the 2 hour journey in a lot of discomfort on broken springs and pushed up next to my husband by the large passenger on my other side - this is not a criticism of the other person who was very tall and large boned - this vehicle was just not big enough for 6 adult passengers to travel in comfort.
The return journey was disorganised. Having returned to the reception area of the park at the time advised for departure, we saw one of the couples who arrived with us from the same area, boarding a bus which had empty seats. We were told we weren’t on that one and we had to wait up to an hour as another couple travelling back on our bus had arrived on a different bus an hour after we did.
So finally we’re on the way in a packed bus again and the driver tells us that we need to meet another vehicle because one of the other couples is staying in a different area and needs to be transferred before we can continue back to our hotel.
I realise that the care of the elephants is a priority and is costly but given the price of the whole experience, I think some attention should be given to the comfort factor of the vehicles and the effective scheduling of passengers.
One final call out for both journeys is the drivers taking and making hand held mobile calls on some of the very winding roads.

Thanks for taking the time to put together your review, Lolly. I'm glad to hear you guys enjoyed your time at the park, but I'm sorry that there was an issue in regards to the transport. I've since spoken to our company transport team, apparently there was a mistake on the schedule, and in fact you guys were actually supposed to be on that first bus with the other guests.. Secondly, the vehicle with the seat with the broken spring should have been reported and not used until it was sent to be repaired and returned, in accordance with our transport standard operating procedures. I wanted to thank you for bringing this to our attention and wish to assure that we've now taken the necessary steps to help make sure an issue like this does not reoccur in future.

Completely ruined my honeymoon.

Tried to book on their website twice, both times failed. PayPal payment went through and they took over $250 and won't return the money.

Avoid. Currently trying to go through PayPal dispute process and they deny receiving money despite it leaving my bank and being in PayPal as successful.

We did the Mason elephant experience. Would not recommend. Appeared to care more about reviews and Instagram posts than the elephants. They are trained and under constant supervision on a lead. At night time they are chained up by a short chain from one of their feet. These elephants aren’t protected here.

The experience itself was not very bad. However, the staff in the park doesn't care about the guests, many of them don't speak English at least to understand the guests' needs.
I was very disappointed with the Jumbo wash. It is described as an individual wash of elephant but in fact you just pay 120 US dollars just for few pictures with a water hose in your hands near poor elephant. I expected at least 20-30 mins to see the elephant so close to me, to have some connection for a moment, without rush and hysterics from other guests.
I was picked up from my hotel on time, dropped in the park and nobody explained the program. I was alone. I was sent to the elephant wash. I took off my sneakers and was waiting for my turn, since some other people were doing washing. I started my washing and literally in 5 mins some lady came and started shouting at me as I were taking too much time and this is their slot. I asked the staff about the procedure and schedule? They just laughed at me. Well, that lady and her grown-up children were quite aggressive. My mood was completely ruined. I left the place and came to the feeding spot. I was looking for a supervisor at least to clarify the situation, but I have to notice nobody paid attention on me. The staff pretended they don't understand English. Basically my first day was destroyed. Later on I was offered to wash an elephant again, it sounded like a provocation. Nobody said sorry. I would say this place is not friendly for the guests.

Volcano tour, white water kayaking, jungle buggies, elephant night safari with dinner under the stars. Absolutely epic day from start to finish. Worth every moment. Had our own private driver from 7:30am (pickup in Seminyak) to just been dropped off at 10pm. Ubud is 2 hours away (the elephant lodge). Amazing experience. The guides in every area were beyond brilliant, food amazing and were in three different locations. Definitely recommend kayaking over the rafting for those wanting a bit more adventure! And the jungle buggy guides could definitely learn to drive a little faster but I suppose they’re not as used the the insane driving of a cowboy from the west! Brilliant, amazing. Epic day.

Went to the mason adventures elephant park.
It seemed nice until we went to wash the elephants, the guy keeping the elephant in the area yanked HARD at its ear to drag it a few steps to the side and punched it in the eye when it stepped away a little (hard enough to make its whole head jump) I was in shock and refused to get any more pictures. Horrible way to keep an elephant from leaving the area.
Every time it took a step to leave the area the guy put his hand up to its face half as a stop sign and half as if to slap his face, the elephant every time immediately stepped back which made me wonder what it’s scared of and what happens behind the scenes.
Was not happy with how the elephant was treated.
