unless you have a perfect body and are under 40yrs old it’s intimidating and the instructor’s were not at all encouraging. The only good thing was the food. Very good veg and vegan menu

I attended Himalayan kriya yoga with Candice,s it was the point of conversation class for me, she can provide a free place, you feel safe without judgment, express your self in different version, very friendly and full of beauty and energy, I just drop every negative point and energy deep inside my soul, just released and feel freedom, perfectinsom and overthinking in good way, divine your feminist in beautiful way, a place of scream, strong and sexy as you are, with defining you values, be positive and unstoppable of moving on, it was great journey
It was a Seven days were full of new experiences with stimulating classes by professional trainers, through which a person can build himself and rearrange his goals, and discover the ability, energy and talents that hide deep inside
Here I learned a lot and developed myself to a higher level that leads and encourages me to move forward boldly without hesitation
Don't wait for people's expectations
You create yourself
You elevate yourself
You define your values
Just trust yourself and move forward
unstoppable
You want it … You get it😉
And that what I learned in #YOGABARN
I am very glad and appreciate to get to know these wonderful people and coaches
I really recommend this place especially Candices classes 👌🏽👍🏽💕

Restaurant - the worst food I had in entire Bali. Burrito was a tiny portion of omelette on Indian bread! Whatever I had was tiny and ridicules. But highly priced! For same money u can eat in Zest or Sayuri but u can compare the food quality. Pathetic restaurant / cafe - 1 star
Yoga and meditations - average. The problem is that the yoga barn doesn’t control number of people. If it’s not popular class u will love it but if it is it will be huge number of people. For sound meditations they also don’t control number of people and many are coughing and etc and do spoil experience for everyone. Out of 50 visitors definitely 2-4 are like that.
But still it’s good to visit non-popular classes where it’s not a big number of people.
There is nothing else in Ubud so this place doesn’t really have competition. Decent to hang out but cafe is really no-no.

Five-star yoga place, very well equipped. A bit westernized, but doesn't deprive the essence. As a person who have just started yoga about 3 months, I feel welcomed to practice here. From the receptionists to the teachers, even the shopkeepers were all really nice and understanding.
.
I took several classes here during my stay in Ubud. From vinyasa to concious breathing. Now every time I go to Ubud, I always spare some time to practice at The Yoga Barn.

Great interesting variation in classes
Huge busy place
My only issue was other yogis coming in mid class and squeezing in between mats breaching the 1:5 m social distance
Would a online pre booking system be helpful for planning ahead

I have been attending Candice’s Himalayan Kriya yoga classes and her woman’s circles.
Candice creates a beautiful safe space and atmosphere in her sessions.
Her Himalayan kriya yoga classes are accessible for all levels and abilities, all you need to bring is an open mind and commitment to yourself. Candice is highly attuned to the needs of all who attend her classes and has a gorgeous gift of making everyone feel welcome, seen and valued. Himalayan kriya yoga is a wonderful practice, which allows you to release all the stagnant energy in your body through tapping, breath work, mudras, mantras and more!
The women’s circles Candice facilitates are also fantastic. It is truly amazing how she can help all participants open up and explore their true authentic selves in such a short space of time.
The yoga barn also has clean shower facilities, where you can take the final step and wash away all that you let go off in class. You can also enjoy a delicious drink or food in the cafe and have the opportunity to chat with people from the sessions about your experience. It’s a beautiful chance to meet others and hear their inspiring stories.
I highly recommend attending all sessions with Candice. They are more than just a class, they are life changing experiences.

Went for a sound meditation. Was supposed to be bowls, bells and gongs. It was actually unbearable as I couldn't hear anything above the Yoga Barn DJ outside blasting Daft Punk. Definitely not an authentic place. If you want DJs and beer, definitely go. If you want relaxing yoga and meditation, go somewhere else

I’m in awe of this woman’s ability to heal through the breath. She welcomes you with kindness and a space to be truly and safely yourself. At first I attended her class at the yoga barn out of pure curiosity of what the breath could do. To my surprise, the breath unlocked memories and sensations that I was not prepared for but welcomed in anyway. Michelle guides you into those spaces and to explore your inner mind and body to allow the body to tell you what it truly wants and needs. I am forever grateful for her work and her abundant loving kindness, I left feeling speechless. That for me doesn’t happen often🤍

Such a lovely place to practice. I really had a wonderful time here. I took classes with Bex, Hayden, Thoriq and the Sunday dance. I really loved the vinyasa flow class as the teacher (Bex) brought in so many new poses and yoga philosophy. I also loved the dance classes, although you need to book the Sunday dance early as it sells out. I am looking forward to coming back already.

Hi there! Do they sell new yoga mats here or are they sold in the area? I don't want to trek one over from the US and am trying to find out if I can purchase one there at a reasonable cost. Thank you!

Hi Yoga Barn, I am coming to Ubud from 27-30 Dec and would like to check if you are open during these days? I wanted to take up energy healing yoga or anything that balances the energy and keep the mind at peace. It’s been a long time since I last did yoga so hope you could recommend suitable classes for me. Thank you and hear from you soon! - Andy (Ms)

Hi Andy
Yes we have classes running through Christmas and New Years Eve with some reduced hours to our usual 7 day a week 7am to 9pm daily schedule. See below for all open hours and class times. We also have an APP you can download off our website that has all the class schedule live plus class descriptions to help you select what you are looking for. As someone who hasn't practiced for a while look for the class type with level 1, plus see our many sound healing experiences, Yoga Nidra meditations, yin yoga and restorative which are slower forms of yoga practice and lower to the ground. Our reception staff can also help you with some recommendations on arrival.
Reduced opening hours during the holidays:
Christmas Eve (24/12), Christmas Day (25/12) & New Years Eve (31/12) - classes start as usual 7am with the last class for each day will start at 4pm. The Yoga Barn will close by 6pm each day.
Boxing Day & Balinese Holiday Galungan Day (26/12, a beautiful Balinese holiday) The Yoga Barn will open in the afternoon with the first class starting at 2pm to 8pm.
New Years Day we have 3 special classes by donation starting at 8am to 12:30pm. The Yoga Barn facilities will be closed however 2 studios will be open for the special classes and registration is open 30 mins before hand at our Lower Reception off the amphitheatre deck (our big traditional studio). Volunteers will be helping the teachers for class registration and donation collection.
I hope this helps you and please feel free to see our website - SCHEDULE page if you have any queries.
Note we have two entrances to The Yoga Barn with a walk-in access off the downtown road Hanuman Street, or if you are riding a motorbike or have a driver needing to wait for you there is a back carpark titled our MAIN Entrance which you can find in Google Maps off our website.
I hope this helps and we so look forward to offering you the calm and chillout time you need with this end of year break, namaste!

Hi Gun, thanks for your enquiry. If you are referring to booking accommodation bookings please see our website - accommodation page. I can't paste a link here for you to access. However, if you are wanting to take any of our yoga, movement, sound healing and meditation classes in our studios you can just arrive 30 mins before your class and purchase a casual class or discounted multi-class pass.
We also have a downloaded APP with our class schedule that is live 24/7 to help with your travel plans. I hope that helps, YB

Good morning,
Myself and another female friend will be in Ubud from 6th - 10th September. We are both beginners (have dabbled in yoga periodically) However we would dearly love to book into a morning yoga session whilst we are in Ubud.
Do we need to book ahead or may we come and see you on arrival and organise a class then.
Would you please be so kind as to let me know times for beginner classes.
Many thanks in anticipation, Mary-Ann McIntyre

Thank you for your message. You can bring babies to the yoga barn - we have a huge venue with an outdoor restaurant and plenty of places for a baby; however you would not be able to bring the baby to class..... there is no need to reserve classes, but come in an buy your class card on the 7th. thank you !
