- mooreerina28 contributionsJust amazing!!!This place was amazing! Loved the Lithuanian lady who took the class, she was amazing with what she did! I went back a week later and had a different leader who wasn't half as good and left feeling I needed more. then he told everyone to follow his Instagram page which I wasn't happy about. I would go back to Bali just for this!! The owner Peter was very friendly and I would love to build one here in Australia!!Oh wow, thank you so much, we are looking forward to see you back again :)Written 23 October 2023This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited July 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 16 October 2023

Often we would come for a sound healing, then just sit for hrs soaking up the soothing vibe's of the place. The cafe is exceptional, thank you Darma & Team ( highly recommend the Full Moon Curry ). For me I think of The pyramids of Chi as " The Soul of Ubud " Peter & Lynn ( owners ) You guys are just incredible, what a gift you have provided to all that visit THANK YOU for creating such a sacred place, where magick truly happens ! Big statement I know, but my friend and I did the Sound, Light and Vibration therapy session. Only 12 people and absolutely indescribable amazing. Highly recommend anyone near Ubud to do this. We booked in advance as there are limited positions, but so worth it. Amazing place too.Hi OpalBin, thanks for your review. Such a lovely message and obviously from the heart. - Phoebe CHong Kong, China433 contributionsWorth to goI went to Pyramids of Chi and tried three sessions. First was Kundalini Activation Process (KAP). I wanted to experience deep meditation after seeing it on Instagram. Although I didn't fully get into it, I felt electric sensations in my body. People's experiences can vary. If you're interested in trying KAP, book in advance as it fills up quickly. Second was LSV meditation. I lay on a water bed inside a pyramid, and the instructor played music that made the bed vibrate. Psychedelic lights created a dreamy atmosphere. It felt like being in another world, but I couldn't concentrate well because I needed to pee. I didn't feel the out-of-body sensation my friend described, but it's still worth trying. Third was Death Meditation. I was curious about the name, so I tried it. It felt like a mild hypnotic state and left me deeply relaxed. It's worth a try.Hi magicpp, thanks for your wonderful review. Yes we are so fortunate to have many wonderful practitioners working with us Hope we see you back here again soon. - Rajneil L6 contributionsGive yourself the gift of yourself! What an amazing experience. Hands down one of the best experiences I had in Ubud. I did the light sound visual with Timo and it was an amazing experience. Timo provided a great briefing process on the journey with his zen like presence. One of the best tips I can give anyone is prepare yourself for the experience. Read their briefing email, go on a light stomach or fast, go in with an open mind and open heart, and reduce any limiting energy or distractions before entering the place (don't socialise with others too much). Highlight recommend to anyone who wants a next level sound and visual experience!Visited April 2024Travelled soloWritten 13 April 2024
- burken108Zurich, Switzerland11 contributionsProfound Acupuncture & SoundhealingAs a newcomer to acupuncture, I was intrigued by the combination of acupuncture and sound healing, having never encountered such an approach before. I went in slightly nervous and not expecting the profound impact it would have on me. The session began with a warm and short educational introduction by the acupuncturist, who explained the significance of each acupuncture point we would be focusing on. As the needles were placed, I immediately felt a surge of relaxation wash over me, easing any doubts I had earlier. What really elevated the experience was the incorporation of sound healing. The tones and vibrations from the gong and singing bowls resonated perfectly where the needles were placed. As the session ended, I noticed a big shift in my energy levels and overall spirit. I walked into the session feeling sluggish but I left feeling revitalized and more aligned.Visited May 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 11 May 2024

I floated in a deep, mediative state feeling my entire body relaxed. I recently attended the LSV (Light Sound Vibration) session at Pyramids of Chi, paying a hefty 750k for what turned out to be an utterly disappointing experience. From start to finish, it was nothing but a scam.
The entire session was just sound from speakers and laser lights. There was no real substance or value to it. After the session, I spoke with at least four other attendees to ensure it wasn’t just me, and they all agreed it was a complete waste of time.
The trainer was unprofessional, cracking lame jokes that made the experience even more unbearable. When I raised my concerns with their guest relations manager, Elizabeth, her response was dismissive and condescending, comparing it to eating a meal and then complaining about it.
The buildup to the event is a complete con. They even have a dog named India, and when I asked why, Elizabeth just smiled without a proper answer.
I strongly recommend avoiding Pyramids of Chi and visiting Yoga Barn instead, where they actually play real instruments and offer a genuinely enriching experience.
If you don’t trust my review, check out the audio recording of the LSV session I uploaded on YouTube. Just search "Pathetic Pyramids of Chi LSV Session." It will be live from tonight. Save your money and time—don’t fall for this scam.

What is nice about this place is food. Restaurant was quite nice.
If you really want to experience sound meditation look elsewhere! As most of places in Bali care about money and to fit as many people as possible without considering their experience “Pyramids of chi” wasn’t an exception. In our group to go in was many people where your Neibour touches you basically (yes, it’s that closed!). I didn’t feel comfortable because it’s not my comfort zone to have unknown people to me laying done that closed! Another problem you are going to face is snoring! Of cause certain % of that many people will be snorting or coughing. The guide makes announcement to raise ur hand if ur Neibour is snoring and yes they do come and tap on shoulder those who snores but it already disturbs ur experience dealing with all this. My Neibour wasn’t snoring but I could hear heavy breathing from left and right (u obviously will because people are too closed).
I would call this experience “patience training meditation” :-))))) or “snoring bowls” :-)
If ur eager to experience something like that still, go to Yoga Barn. They have exactly the same organization though with putting too many people in but at least it’s twice cheaper.
Abroad for this kind of sound meditations groups are limited and it’s controlled that nobody comes sick with flu or snores disturbing others. In bali nobody bothers.

Be careful, the experience can be a bit disingenuous. The property is under construction and not all sound healing sessions are held in the original pyramids. I just walked out of a session today and we were disappointed. Instead of being on the original pyramid which is built with water around it which optimises the whole experience, we were in a different pyramid on land where you can hear lots of outside noises of scooters, roosters, construction, and the layout is such that there is a lot of people who walk around near your head during the experience. It defeats the purpose of the experience. We felt it was misleading as we know it’s a big difference in experience when you go to the original pyramid, yet they still charged us full price. If we knew in advance then we wouldn’t have gone. This came across as money-grabbing. The sounds themselves are good, if you can ensure your booking is in the original structures. Unfortunately when people are not upfront about this it doesn’t make me want to recommend the place anymore.

If you’re looking for a serene place to eat some delicious plant-based food I can highly recommend The Pyramids of Chi. I especially enjoyed the secret garden salad and daluman drink- like a healthy es cendol. A variety of healing sessions and workshops are also offered. Peter and Lyn have created a warm and welcoming environment where the hustle and bustle of Ubud centre can be left behind. Can’t wait to return!

I had a wonderful experience at the sound healing session at pyramids of chi. It started with a guided meditation and then into the journey, it was such a powerful energy from the gongs that vibrated through my whole body sending me into a deeply relaxed state. There were many other instruments used throughout the journey and I left feeling super chilled. The food at the restaurant is great and and the gardens surrounding the pyramids are beautiful and very peaceful to sit and meditate afterwards. I had an amazing time there and will definitely return for another session or to one of their special evening events.

I had heard quite a bit about this experience, and have done similar but way better ones in different countries. Sadly, this one was quite disappointing. I would consider it a case of hype over substance. I paid $67 US for the 90 minute Beyond Sound Experience. I enjoyed the facilitator, but the experience pretty much is lay down on a water bed, close your eyes, and they will turn off the flashing lights and canned sounds. I was not inspired, moved, or transported anywhere I want to return. The schtick is good for tourists and there seemed to be a lot of self-absorbed yoga types there that probably thought the experience was revelatory. There is a nice dining spot to sit and wait. The location is in the middle of nowhere and while they offer a free shuttle from a central pick up point in Ubud, for the price I paid, they should’ve sent a carriage and a camel. If you want an authentic experience, this probably isn’t for you. If you want to show everyone how good you look in your Lululemon, this is probably the perfect experience for you. Again, hype over substance.

Some friends and I decided to participate in the full moon ceremony. What an experience it was, the place is wonderful, the owners Peter and Lynn were present and they made us feel very welcome and shared with us this truly unique moment.
They explained to us in details the ancient purpose of the pyramids and why this ceremony was taking place. After my session I felt very different, in a positive way, the sound vibration from the instruments played were astonishing!
This place offers many different programs which you can find on Instagram.
Go there and you won’t be disappointed 😉

We stopped here for a Sound Healing. The grounds are beautiful and the pyramids impressive. The healing ritual was conducted with singing bowls and a variety of gongs, each experience curated by a conductor. It's hard to describe, but definitely a unique experience.
The bigger surprise was the cafe. All vegan, sugar-free, gluten-free, but everything was GREAT. My sandwich on gluten-free bread was excellent, and everyone else at my table enjoyed theirs as well. The desserts were particularly impressive. They do wonders with coconut.

This experience felt like a complete tourist trap. I certainly didn't anticipate paying £15 for what essentially amounted to a 1.5-hour nap during the ancient sound healing session. Instead of relaxation, I left feeling annoyed and unsatisfied. The excessive amount of irrelevant talk before and during the sound healing made it challenging to fully immerse oneself in the experience. Additionally, the shuttle service, while convenient, appeared to have strategically staggered timings to encourage visitors to spend more time and money there. On a positive note, the food served was enjoyable, but overall, this experience left me with a sense of disappointment and skepticism about its authenticity.

What’s the best was to get to the pyramids from central Ubud...is it too far to walk? What would a metered taxi cost one way?
Written 8 March 2018
Many people choose to walk here along the beautiful rice Field walk from the town centre, see the map on outr site for directions. Should take around 30 - 45 minutes depending on your pace and the desire to stop and look at the amazing views or visit one of the delightful artists stalls. There are no metered taxis in Ubud, however from the palace region do not pay any more that Rp70,000, they all know that is a good fare.
