Simply an awesome day. Thank you so much guys. Great food, great teaching and a beautiful atmosphere.

Loved the tour of market and also generally Wayan’s explanation of the Ubud life.

Starting from the pick up of our hotel to the drop off back, we had an amazing time! Not only the cooking class itself was great but moreover we went to the local food market and saw how to get your own coconut oil.
Many thanks for having us!

Fantastic experience learning from Ubud locals who have family roots to the area for many years. The cooking was great to learn and great to eat. What topped it off was learning about Balinese culture and particularly the culture in Ubud. Would recommend to everyone.

The communication with Wayan via WhatsApp about the cooking school was excellent. He picked us up from our resort on time and we joined another couple. So only 4 people in total which made it very intimate and special. Wayan first took us to a local rice paddy to explain about the Balinese most important staple of their food and then we were taken to his family compound. Everyone was so welcoming and the cooking kitchen setup was brilliant. We learnt all about the herbs and spices and then we had to prepare our dinner. We were shown every step of the process and the end result was so delicious (if I say so myself haha). At the end, we were driven back to our resort. What a wonderful experience and I'd highly recommend it.

Had the most amazing experience! The highlight of our tri in Bali. From the very start, Wayan introduced us to his family, his home. We ventured into the market where he kindly bought us food to try. Then took us to a rice field to teach us about cultivating rice. The cooking class could not have been better organised, with such a friendly family. Everything was unable to be faulted, with all the produce laid out, and easy and fun instructions. Food was amazing. Overall the best experience I’ve had for culture and food in Bali.

Had such a nice time at Wayans Place!! We cooked in his backyard, which was really spacious, quiet and with a wonderful view. Learned a lot about the indonesian culture and balinese cuisine. Everybody was really patient and kind. And since we go a print of the recipe in the end, i cant wait to cook the balinese menu at home in Germany - the food was SO SO good. Would highly recommend.

Amazing experience! So much more than just a cooking class. Learned a lot about Balinese culture, rice patties, coconut oil, and many ingredients. Hands on cooking that's fit for begineers or not in a lovely kitchen facing the jungle. Even saw some monkeys. This family-run business is wonderful and the daughter that cooked with us was very kind. Food was delicious and the whole thing was great value. Recommend for everyone!
