We hoped to visit Saraswati temple and tried on two occasions. What people are reviewing here as the temple site is actually just the lily pond and courtyard which backs onto the lotus cafe. You can see only the front of the temple where the...More

So let's face it - there are many temples in Bali, so what does this have that makes it worth a stop? The temple itself is like many others on the island of Bali - dark grey, lichen covered stones ornately carved with scarey and...More

Let's be honest. If you are in Bali it is difficult not to see a great temple every few minutes. What makes this one stand out is the easy access from the centre of town and the wonderful lily ponds. Well worth a look.

I expected this temple to be bigger. This is a very small temple in the center of Ubud. The lovely 'Lotus cafe' is at the entrance of the temple, but it's quite expensive. There is not much to see at this temple. It's nice to...More

Lovely small temple, not easy to find. The gate has people selling tickets to nighttime dancing and with no sign saying the temple name you could easily miss this one. Worth finding though as the ponds are lovely and there are some nice statues etc...More

The temple was open and accessible when we went on 1st September. Must put on sarong to enter, but there were lovely purple ones to borrow and return just before the temple gate on left side.

This temple is located near Ubud Palace next to Starbucks. As the name suggests, it is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and arts. You need to wear a sarong, and it's best to buy one when embarking on a trip...More

This temple is just behind Starbucks. It is beautiful and so are the garden in front. You can only see the outside but still worth a visit while strolling Ubud.

Each and every temple has something to offer. Some are for bathing, some for relaxing, some for praying. You will love Saraswati as it is peaceful on any given day. The fish are everywhere in the waters and sooooo big. Lots of chances to make...More

This nice temple is a bit hidden in the centre of Ubud, near the Lotus cafe. It's a small temple, but the pond with lilies (and not too many visitors) makes this a beautiful and peaceful place
