This cooking class was great and very informative, I did this class with my 2 sisters and we were they only ones in the class and we all loved it. Wati, thankyou very much, you answered all our questions and taught us to cook some very delicious dishes. Sanur market tour was great, breakfast was yummy, and the food we... More

Awesome time had at Bamboo Shoots cooking school. Picked up in the morning at my hotel the a half hour in the local market getting your fresh chicken and veggies. Then off to a light breakfast before cooking 6 dishes. Everyone gets in on the chopping and cooking and you get to eat what you cook along the way. Would... More

There is no better way to spend a morning (especially when it's raining) than spending it in comfortable, beautiful surroundings with good people and good food! Absolute heaven! The visit to the Sanur morning market was interesting, the aroma of coffee and the tasty snacks were YUM! The food we made was delicious, I can't wait to try out the... More

We had a fantastic time with Irma and Wati today. Irma picked us up from our hotel in Sanur at 7am, and drove us to the local market in Sanur, where we learned about the various spices, vegetables, fruit and other produce on offer. We were in a group with two other families from Australia. We then had breakfast at... More

SO ... we're vegetarian and have struggled in the past finding a cooking class that caters for vegetarians. This place was excellent ... meat was replaced with tofu and tempeh. The company picked us up from our hotel on time ... we then had an enjoyable hour walking around the local market. Next was a no-thrills breakfast of coffee and... More

We had a lovely morning at Bamboo Shoots cookery school. It started with a trip round the local food market which was very interesting. Then we had a delicious breakfast, and started cooking. We cooked several dishes whilst enjoying some nice cool beers. It was great fun. My favourite dish was beef rendang which we now make at home regularly... More

this was a great day and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We did this with a group of 16 year old students who we had taken to Bali for a mission trip. When you first arrive, you given breakfast and a drink, which was lovely. You then proceed to do the cooking class and learn to make about 6 different dishes.... More

This class is an excellent way to experience a slice of Balinese life. You are picked up from your accommodation early morning and taken to a very clean food market where you are able to learn about the various foods and offerings used by Balinese people. Then you are taken to an open kitchen where you are carefully stepped theough... More

Many thanks to Irma and Wati for their cooking school! Everything went very smoothly. It wasn't as hands on as I expected. We walked around the market without interacting with any of the vendors. The breakfast provided was unexpected and plentiful. The actual cooking was fabulous. Again not as hands on as I was expecting so if you prefer to... More
