    Selamat Makan!!
Tasty local indonesian food on a hawkers market or in bahasa ‘kaki - lima’, 5 legs … A market with a price list! Come here already for years… but still as good as… Always a good vibe here and a mix of both tourists as locals… Opens every day of the year from 18 - 22 hrs, but don’t come too late… or they are sold out!!

    Sindhu night market.
Fun. Excellent and cheap street food. Busy, but comfortably so. Part of the Sanur township in Bali. We bought enough food for two, admittedly small eaters for the grand total of less than a dollar.

    Sindhu beach market
We found this souvenir market along Sindhu Beach in Sanur, just inside the main promenade and off the beach. There are probably 30-40 small shops setup selling all manner of souvenirs, clothing, accessories and artworks. Fun to look around a bit, a good place to pick up a souvenir or two. Most shops didn't have prices posted so be ready to haggle a bit and like all souvenir markets in Asia, look around first as most places carry more or less the same or similar items.

What a total waste of time this is. No ambience whatsoever, just a repeat of all the things you can buy on the streets in every other area of Bali. It's certainly not what the art markets were in this area years ago.

Be prepared for an onslaught of aggressive stall owners trying to get you to buy from them. One woman shouted at us for buying something from the stall next door and not from her, and proceeded to follow us and stand and stare until I had to shout at her to go away and a local came and did the same. There is a fixed price shop called Monica shop, which was a better experience with no aggressive behaviour. There are nice places on the beach for cold drinks.

Having been on holiday in Sanur a few times and then at home watching YouTube “must do” clips of Sanur I thought it time to try the night market food stalls … cause it’s “super .. awesome .. so cheap .. delicious” etc.
Nope. Could not find much of interest. Tried some Ayam satays as felt had to on this bucket list visit.
Uncomfortable chairs and honestly way better food in many permanent warungs around Sanur.
Tourist trap IMHO.

Very small market. Long line at popular stalls. Food good. $3.50 Aus for 10 mini satay sticks. Were nice but found satay at other places just as good or better for similar price.
Don’t make a special trip here.

There are not many market stalls here, mainly food stalls serving a good range of street food at great prices, if you want shopping there are loads to choose from out on the main road. We only go for the Martabak which is like a big fried omelette with different fillings plus the banana and Nutella pancakes from the same stall, absolutely lush and great value.

This was on my list to visit! Food was enjoyable but not very many options when I went. Also the clothing vendors were quite pushy . But I get it. It’sto be expected! Overall it’s still worth to check out

All the years that we stayed at Griya Santrian in Sanur, Sindhu Market was always our go-to place when we wanted to eat 'authentic' Indonesian food. We've never been disappointed with choice, offer and price. In May of this year, restricted in the passed due to the previous COVID-19 problems, we could finally travel to Sanur again and after being on the road for a whole day we hurried to Sindhu market. Our disappointment was what we found there, much less warungs, small selection of dishes and long waiting times to get a table and dishes. Sindhu market was a closed chapter for us, a pity because we have always eaten well and affordable there.
