About
The Sanur Beach Promenade is lined with brightly painted outrigger boats along the water's edge, and good restaurants and cafes opposite. Treat yourself to a massage offered by one of the many masseuses with divans on the sand. If you're there in July, catch the Bali Kite Festival, a colorful international competition.

    Peaceful and enjoyable place
It is a beach with good and quality hotels. However, the beer is poorly maintained, I think the locals need some training on this issue. You can observe the tides very well. It has peaceful, quiet and enjoyable evenings. I recommend you to go there and drink Bintang beer and listen to live music performances.

It is OK but not for the swimming
Although the beach looks lovely on the pictures, the reality is different. The sea is shallow, lots of seaweed... On the positive note, there is a long promenade along the shore. You can walk the hours and enjoy the views and a fresh sea breeze. The street vendors are not agressive. The overall, we had a nice experience, even the sea is not swimmable

    Cooking off at Sanur Beach
We were in the public area and found it lovely and the people friendly. You get the usual store vendors but once you find a spot or Cafe to sit at they leave you be. There was a lovely breeze each day to cool you off and generally a pleasant experience

    Nice beachfront
Nice lengthy stretch of beach with a paved pedestrian path/cycleway bordered by assorted shops, cafes, restaurants and spas and a plethora of beach facilities between it and the sea. Our driver advised that the sea here is relatively shallow, there were also a number of smallish fishing boats pulled up to the beach. Quiet in the early morning and stallholders hoping for 'morning price' business.

    Sanur overview
Sanur is quieter and more layer back which is what we wanted. The restaurants lining the beach provided lots of choices for meals and drinks and entertainment. A variety of shops also line the beach. We ate ate the Double 0 every night as the food was excellent as was the service. Staff were so friendly and the prices were very cheap compared to other places. We had tenderloin steak, chips and salad several times. At $9.50AU it was excellent value. I have been 6 times but never in October, it was really hot and humid, more so than other months and I wouldn’t do October again. Sanur has everything the busier places have but is more relaxed. I’ll definitely stay again but perhaps in May next time. Sanur beach is tidal so unless you get to the beach earlier in the day the beach is non existent in the afternoon but don’t let that deter you. Dinner on the beach with a cool breeze is wonderful. Also the sun sets on the other side of the island so beautiful sunrises but no sunsets.

    Nice and peaceful but....
The area has a lovely promenade that stretches all the way along the beach front of Sanur, it is lined by beach bars and restaurants on one side and a sandy beach the other. The restaurants are ok but nothing special and the sea is very shallow and in places full of seaweed. Its nice for a chilled out couple of days but no longer and do make sure to book a place with a pool.

    Nice View
A pleasant place to watch the sunrise. Parking is not a problem either. Made Weti is also available for breakfast, while Mak Beng is a good option for lunch. In addition, there is a bicycle rental service. The natural splendour of Sanur Beach can provide for a refreshingly unique and pleasurable experience while you're on vacation there.

    Excellent Beach in Bali
Sanur Beach is an excellent area for swimming (during high tide hours only), walking along the 3+ mile long boardwalk that runs the entire length of Sanur Beach, or lounging under sun or tree shade. This Beach is protected from any high waves by a long reef that sits about 200 meters from the shoreline. Sanur Beach is a shallow beach with a maximum water depth of around 2 meters or less, and during the peak low-tide time periods there is little water in this beach area. However, during the high tide time periods, the Beach area is a great place. The boardwalk that runs along the entire length of Sanur Beach is very nice. This boardwalk was entirely refurbished/rebuilt just last year (2022) and is now an excellent walkway that is mostly covered by shade trees which is nice for people who are avoiding sunburns. Along the walkway, you get nice views of the beach areas, resort hotels, seaside restaurants and bars - much to see and do here. If you like to see nice sunrises, Sanur beach offers great scenic views of sunrises along the entire length of the beach. This is a photogenic beach for sunrises that is not to be missed. One block away from the beach, there is Jalan Danau Tamblingan Street, the main thoroughfare through Sanur, has many restaurants, bars, shops, money exchsnges, grocery stores, hotels and more. So there are many things to see and do here - well worth the visit.

Nice Stroll Along the Paved Walking Path, A Lot Going On
I stayed in Sanur and walked the beach paths daily. I did not go in the water this time around but simply enjoyed my beach walks. It was nice seeing the resorts and restaurants lined up on the path and pretty beach views. This place was pretty crowded, so there were people everywhere, definitely not a secluded beach. For the most part, the beach was clean.

Decent beach best on north side
We stayed a block off the beach at the Prime Plaza Hotel. Easy walk there, restaurants, shops etc along the way. Beach is busy area off this street and not as nice or kept up. Walking north to the right and along Sanur Beach gets to much better areas, nicer beach front, more sand and way more services. This beach area has adjacent markets, restaurants, shops, mini marts, everything you need. Easy to rent out lounge chairs, umbrellas, etc. , easy water access and not overly busy..

The beach water appears clean and there were plenty of people swimming but we did not feel the need to do so as there was lots of seaweed and the water was very shallow. The sand on the beach could have been much cleaner - there was an unacceptable amount of plastic and other litter. That said, there is a lengthy and delightful walk along the beach, lined with cafes and restaurants, and we enjoyed sitting on sun lounges under a beach umbrella in the private area for our resort looking over the water to the reef and enjoying the sun and the sea breeze.

The beach was dirty, filled with rubbish and stray dogs. The sea was equally dirty and I am not sure if the water is safe to swim in. There are also a lot of locals trying to sell stuff which can be annoying as we just wanted to relax without having constantly to say no thank you to them.
It’s still a very peaceful beach with beautiful views.

In the most this is a nice beach, but it varies along the boardwalk from clean and well kept, and dirty with the ever incessant shop keepers wanting to sell something.
The boardwalk itself is very good, and allows you to walk a long way without having to be on sand.
The sand at Sanur is not the best, but if you want to sun bake on a lounge then it’s good enough.

Water level is 40-60cm. Stinky beach, nobody in the water. You can only go with boat to the rocks and back, water sport and fishing.

This is one of the famous beachfronts of Bali. It is located southeast of Denpasar and runs along the coast of the seaside village of Sanur. You will find a series of beaches the connect, forming a near 5km stretch of coastline known collectively as Sanur Beach.

There is now a promenade that runs the entire length of Sanur Beach with dedicated foot and cycle path. Much of the promenade winds through shaded areas under mature trees. You will pass countless villas, hotels and other accommodations, eateries, bars, coffee shops, places to sign up for water sports, island day trips or other activities. There are massage vendors a plenty, some shopping sports and loads of space to enjoy being on the beach.

Take a dip in the sea, walk the promenade, grab a drink or bite to eat - just a great beach area to enjoy the day or two or three....

Well from all the photos this place looks amazing. However I couldn’t understand why there weren’t many people swimming, until I went in the sea and had litter floating past me. The locals constantly harassed me, but it was virtually impossible to buy anything that isn’t coated in plastic. Drinks come in plastic cups with plastic straws. Everything from street vendors or local shops is shoved into a plastic bag. Often more than one. What happens to all this plastic? Well it gets dumped on the beaches and into the sea. We even saw one of the locals trying to bury some small bits of rubbish in the sand. We did a bit of litter picking but no one seems to care. Come on Bali - if you want the tourists to keep coming, stop using plastic. I would not recommend it and neither will I ever go back.
