The pea soupy water, the 'avenue of hawkers' and the dirty changing rooms did not appeal to me. i was surprised to see people going completely underwater. Perhaps once a beautiful place but to me very unattractive.

Very nice atmosphere, tourists and locals enjoying the springs together. (If you don't want a sarong, look straight ahead as you pass through the stalls on the way to entrance.)

Surrounding area was lovely. Lots of green lush plants. Pools also looked nice. Of course there is a sulphur smell and floating bits in the water. In hindsight I would not have gone as I got terribly sick. People were diving and splashing so water got in my face and I think it then got in my system which resulted in 5 hours of viral gastrointestinal problems. Could be nice but do not put your head anywhere near the water.

My favourite place in Bali. We visited three times. Great value with three hot sulphur baths. Great simple food restaurant very tasty. Best value and gorgeous massages too. Highly commended.

One of the things to do in the north of Bali.
Not so many people early in the morning.
Three baths, one hot, second large and medium and a third one with high water fall for a good massage 😉

These springs are thermal and thought to heal diseases as there is sulphur in the water- known locally as holy hot springs. Worth a visit if you find yourself in North Bali one day. I recommend going early to avoid crowds: weekend locals and busloads of tourists during the week. I arrived at 9.30 am and had a quiet hour before it got busy. It's relaxing and low-key. A great place to take a book and read in the gardens if you're travelling solo. Very peaceful. Did I feel better afterwards? Most definitely. I plan to visit again a few times before leaving the area.

Sulphur-y and warm pools, we loved it. Highly recommend my driver-guide Pak Hari, +62 852-3143-1638 (whatsapp). Flexible, funny, knowledgeable and a safe driver. Cheers from Singapore.

The trip to these hot baths that have been untouched by time is 100% worth it.
Small scale, not touristic, quiet and peaceful. The surroundings, i.e. the view from the hot baths are amazing: tropical green in all its glory.
Take your time, and submerge in the various hot water baths.

Definitely worth climbing ALL the steps! The Hot Springs were great for the aching muscles. And very relaxing. The temples on each level are amazing to see. I’d definitely come back again.
