- RaymondaleKuala Lumpur, Malaysia1,072 contributionshope it become betterwhen i had my Nov- Dec trip to bali in 2022, i came here twice.first,i went to beachwalk mall, after shopping,i went to kuta beach to have a look,i saw some men played kitesurfing there. on 3 Dec, when i finished my half day tour, i went here again, this time i found some renovation around the main gate of kuta beach.i dont know what they do,but i hope kuta beach will become more better in the future.cuz it is an important landmark in bali.Visited December 2022Written 31 December 2022
- watchsmartAsuncion, Paraguay289 contributionsWhy bother? If you are killing time in the city I suppose it is a nice spot to wander around for a little while. But other than that, why bother? The beach has a lot of garbage, and you can't really sit down without paying a vendor for his plastic chair. Surfers seem to like it, at least.Visited January 2023Written 28 January 2023
- Ali B15 contributionsHell no.The second you step onto the beach, people start harassing and annoying you. Full of sellers, hawkers, everyone and their mother trying to peddle some crap for you. Absolutely horrific place to be. Not to mention it's often totally dirty with garbage that washes down from uphill where they throw all their trash into the nature.. and then blame foreigners and other islands for that.Visited December 2022Written 21 February 2023
- Evert Jan S10 contributionsA walk along Seminyak-, 66-, and Kuta beachAs non-surfers we walked some miles along these "famous" beaches at low tide while the sunset was approaching. I am sorry to say, but there was truly nothing attractive to discover ...... Not only was the surf zone visibly filthy, the rubbish on the beach - mostly plastic from food and drink ware - was everywhere for miles 😥 I don't understand that this is surfers paradise? There must be better places. For holiday makers, like families with kids, this is not the type of beach you want to go to. It's dirty. The sand is not even white. Bars and restaurants are (below) average with loud music, and the people who want you to buy all their cheap souvenirs do the rest. The contrast between the rest of beautiful Bali with this coast line is enormous.Visited February 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 24 February 2023
- Off their PManchester, United Kingdom4,176 contributionsSuch a shameThey do try very hard to keep this beach as clean as possible, but they are definitely fighting a losing battle. They even have tractors going up and down trying to keep it clean but if this happens in the morning it is dirty again by sunset. The beach vendors sell cold, beers and the sunsets are amazing, but it just looks a mess. There are sun loungers for hire but we prefer to go further down the beach to where is his cleaner.Visited March 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 3 March 2023
- dutchroger1London, United Kingdom66 contributionsNot the bestNot very clean loads of rubbish in the water and on the beach. Too many traders wandering the beach. Also 90%of the beach closed to swimming so you can't enjoy the waves despite not being too rough. Not a bad place to stay as a base for couple of days. Not sure I will be coming here again.Visited April 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 2 April 2023
- tim c1 contributionPesky vendors, some scammers, okay sceneryBugged constantly by vendors and surf instructors, even had a scam attempt, asking for 5000 IDR to use a public shower. Waters were thankfully clear of visible rubbish. Scenery was okay.Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 26 April 2023
- Dan LBunbury, Australia7,271 contributionsA hive of activityA lot more activity on the beach since we visited last August, seems that all the stall holders from the Kuta Art Markets have relocated here. Everyone seems to have an allocated area and their is fierce competition for custom. Clean beach area, rock pitching to minimise further erosion, good footpath to enjoy a stroll. One thing hasn't changed; beware the invitation to sit on a chair.Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 May 2023
- Barbara-BrookeMorales-MurphyLondon, United Kingdom1,212 contributionsGood, mostly for surfingThis is a pretty busy beach with lots of stalls and vendors. Lots of hustling. If you want to surf, this is a good spot. There are surf schools, but you can also just take a quick lesson from one of the guys on the beach. The lesson will be basic, and some of the guys' English is minimal. It's cheap and you can get a taste for the sport. EnjoyVisited August 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 3 August 2023
- Saul_TrueOsaka, Japan502 contributionsSunsetLet's face it, Kuta Beach has seen better days. The sand is mostly grey, there's trash everywhere and it's packed most of the time. But one thing every visitor should do once is see a Kuta sunset. Simply stunning and just for a moment, it's hard to tell what color the sand is. Note that there is some variation in sunset times, despite Bali being near the equator. The earliest sunset is in early June (just after 6pm) and the latest at the end of January (around 6:45pm).Visited August 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 9 August 2023

This is a beautiful beach for adults, children and surfers. You can sit at a table on the beach and just take it In while having a coconut or Bintang. These tables and sun lounges belong to the seller directly above them under the trees. When you sit down you will be approached by the seller to order (do so directly). A simple small bottle of water will suffice but if you don’t buy from them you will be asked for a fee to sit there. This beach stretches for kilometres through different suburbs. Pedlars can drive you crazy if you don’t want to buy dismiss them promptly or you will be swarmed by others. No need to be rude just keep saying no and better not to make eye contact with them when they are walking past. The stall holders who own the tables and sun lounges are reasonably priced.

A breathtaking beach. Because Bali is such a large island, visitors should be prepared for long journeys that may involve heavy traffic. It is strongly recommended that you find lodging in the area. Although we preferred doublesix beach the most, Kuta is also a nice place to hang out.

Beautiful beach. Bali is a big island so better be prepared for long drives with high traffic. I would recommend to get an accommodation close. Seminyak beach was still our favorite but Kuta is also chilled.

Visiting same time of the year as on previous visits here and found, on this occasion, slightly cooler, less humid and more pleasant overall.
Streets and beaches are noticeably cleaner than we remember. Made for pleasant swimming this time.

We were surprised to find the beach area very clean, no flotsam from the ocean. Great boardwalk for easy access and walking. Warungs and stall holders to the rear, chairs, deck chairs and umbrellas to the front and also some encroachment from stall holders. The vibe from the streets and the art market has been transferred to the beach area. Worth the morning stroll and an evening visit to see spectacular sunsets. Jalan Pantai at the rear, clogged with vehicles and motor bikes, virtually a total disregard for pedestrians with vehicles parked haphazardly other than where the hotels employ security personnel.

The beach was across the street from our hotel. There are a lot of stalls and food stand on the beach and they offer your chairs in exchange of buying their food and drinks.
The thing that we didn't like was that there were stray dogs on the beach

From afar Kuta Beach looks gorgeous, however, when we decided to walk on the beach we noticed it's really dirty. Very littered and overly crowded. It's definitely a tourist spot and if you want to swim and surf and don't mind litter, go for it. It wasn't what I had in mind for Beach vibes.

Hi
We were there in October 2022. The majority of the construction work is towards Waterbom Park from the end of the beach.
While on the beach, we heard no noise at all. I certainly wouldn't let the work that is going on stop you from going there.

Can you see sunset from Hard Rock Cafe?

I don't think it's possible to see sunset from Hard Rock, but Pantai Kuta it's only few meters from there, it's exactly across the Hard rock cafe. the sunset is definitely is able to be seen from pantai Kuta.
If you need any more recommendations for the best place to enjoy the sunset , you can download Radius App (Available on app store and google play) Bali's no 1 app for everything you need in bali from reccommendations on where to go and eat to massages, drivers even alcohol delivery. We are travelling with a young kid (3 plus year old). Is the beach safe for taking a dip in the sea? I have heard about string waves and undercurrents ! Also is the beach clean in the morning? When do the staff clean the beach generally?

Many kids on beach, life guards on duty between red signs. Do supervise your babes, waves are strong and not suitable for 3 year old to get caught in. But getting into water at waters edge is great. But, please supervise!!!!! Don‘t forget Kuta Beach at Sunset, take babes. You‘ll all have fun. Supervise the little ones. You‘ll see. I am going later this afternoon.

It isn't difficult to plan. Just go. I recommend UBUD. If you plan 100 a day you should be ok.
