If you've never been impressed by the theatre then this is a great beginning.. I cannot praise the Bali Theatre company enough and the Bali Agung production specifically.
I have been involved in theatre most of my life (google me if you like) and really the production values are up there with Cirque de Soleil.
But it is not just an amazing spectacle with a river on stage and elephants and a cast so big it can fill the onstage village. It's also a love story and a story of a family of betrayal misunderstand and reconciliation. It's also very clever in combining such epic aspects so that the story is easy to follow.
And yes it does seem incongruous that it is part of the Safari Park but I suppose if you have Kids they will like that too. Go its worth it.

I watched the Bali Agung show as part of my ticket to the Safari. I had know idea that this was going to be such a huge stage production, the like of which I have never seen in my life! There were at least 100 performers and various animals including at least 5 elephants and even boats on the stage canal. The production is such incredible high quality, I would have happily paid the ticket price to see this show as a standalone ticket. By far the best and most opulent stage performance I have seen anywhere in the world, it will probably bring you to tears with the beauty of it all. Can't recommend enough, great credit to the performers and producers, world class!

Live birds flying, elephants and even a tiger on stage along with a "cast of thousands" made this a very large spectacular show and set in the Bali Safari and Marine Park. The theatre would have a capacity I believe of around 1500 with all seats having a good view.
Told a good story and I was pleasantly surprised by the overall show. Must say the only reason I went was due to it being part of the bigger attraction. (I have many comments on that)

This is the best Balinese Theatre Show around.
The choreography and costumes were very well presented and colourful as ever.
Absolutely shows off the Balinese culture and Indonesian traditions in all its grandeur.

Make sure you only get the show and nothing else as the others are simply a waste of time and money.
