Not the experience is was hoping for. You are put into group of 4-5 people. Dolphin handler could have been a bit more friendly and personal. Felt like it was too fast and role-played. You could tell the handler had done this type of work for a while and we were just another one of the many groups. You had to wait your turn to touch the dolphin or do a trick with it. And once it was your turn, it was quick. I recommend the groups are divided into much smaller groups of 2-3 people so you get more of a personal experience with the dolphin.

It is strange to find two different websites with all of the same information, as names of dolphins and location of pens and amount of money, accept for the procedure of payment and phonenumbers variates?? Balidolphines.com is an older looking website and bali-dolphin-interaction.com looks newer and more updated. Can someone tell me if either one of them is fake, or the same company but different locations? If so, why wont they share the same website and two completely different ones instead, its strange and suspicious! I want to book at either one or the other companies as soon as possible. Thanks in advance!

Like some other reviews I had read, I was a bit concerned about the ethicalness of this dolphin interaction but it was something my friend always wanted to do so I went along. I booked online and they were very quick to respond. Payment was easy and they were bang on time when it came to the pickup from the hotel.
The boat ride out to the pens was short and the interaction experience was worth every cent. It wasn't something I thought I would really like but the guide/trainer was quite humourous and I actually enjoyed the whole thing, as did surprisingly, my husband. I learnt a bit about dolphins that I didn't know. Life jackets were provided. We did the interaction (not the swim) and you stand on a platform in the pen in the water - the water came up to about my chest (I am 5ft 6") and it was a choppy/windy day so I think if you were short you may struggle a bit.
They also had some stingrays there they said they were trying to train that we had a look at too.
I know this is not a cheap thing to do but I think it is worth it if you can afford it. Towels were provided on return so you can dry yourself off and also tea/coffee.
We left our hotel in Seminyak and 7:30AM, you have some preliminary stuff to do first (like lifejackets, video to watch & paperwork) and we got in the boat about 8:50AM. Were returned to the hotel by about 1130AM.

If you want to see dolphins, you have to go out to sea and not to see dolphins that are locked up. The animals suffer extremely and tourists love to touch them - it's enough to make you cry, I feel so sorry for the animals.
It's better not to support this with your money.

They let the dolphins out, and the dolphins come back every time? Oh, please. I'm not buying that for a second. It's just something they say to make tourists feel better.
These dolphins were not made to be kept in small enclosures for our entertainment. They are not our creatures to use, and it is just wrong for them to be exploited in this way.
I understand people want to get close to them, but at what cost? Are you really willing to overlook the cruelty aspect for your own gain?
You don't need to get close to these animals to learn about them. We certainly shouldn't want children thinking that keeping these highly intelligent, sociable animals in small enclosures where they are forced to perform silly tricks is normal and acceptable.
Don't contribute to their suffering by supporting this. I don't think many people will come away from this experience feeling good about themselves, and rightly so.

I advise all tourists not to contribute to this place...We went under the promise that the dolphins had large enclosures and got let out once a week....we got there are discovered a dozen sad dolphins in tiny pens who are forced to do silly tricks over and over again....we also learnt they NEVER leave their enclosure EVER not even to swap pens...the staff tell the tourists this to keep them happy...some of the pens had rubbish floating in them and one dolphin had a scratch that look infected...This place is cruel and inhuman. ..go see them in the wild or of monkey mia in Australia. ..

I felt really sad at the way these highly intelligent wild animals are locked in these small pools with dirty water and never let out.
I was invited by some clients, thinking they were free and we would swim with them in a beautiful cove but boy was I disappointed!! It ruined my trip to Bali and made me very sad looking at these poor Dolphins having to do tricks for tourists in areas they will never be let out from..
Please, please do not support this to these highly intelligent animals

This place should be closed down!! Dolphins are kept in tiny enclosures that are dirty and with rubbish floating in them...If you believe they let them out at night like they claim they do then you are extremely naive..Watch The Cove before you think about coming here...I regret it and am still upset by it..

I came away from this feeling absolutely terrible. The poor dolphins have a very small pen and are not let out at all. One of the dolphins had been locked up in his pen for 10 years. Groups of 5 or 6 people go into each pen and the dolphin has to repeat the same "tricks" for each person. Imagine doing this a few times a day for 10 years! As soon as we arrived at the "floating sea pen" I was instantly reluctant. I refused to participate after watching these magnificent creatures having to repeat incessantly the same thing. The dolphins looked quite healthy but this would be an essential for the tourists to keep coming back. Being healthy and being kind are very different things. Never again!!

This company is the same as Bali Dolphin (the dolphins listed no their website have the same names) and I can't remember which one we used. Either way, both places look identical. At the time that I went, their website stated that they let the dolphins out of the cages at night and they return every day for food. After the experience, I knew that there was no way that these beautiful creatures are allowed out.
The conditions were awful. The beautiful dolphin that we interacted with had so many large scars across her sides which was disturbing. The trainer said that it was from the other dolphins fighting but they were long scars that did not look like they could be inflicted by another dolphin. The trainer also told us that her son was in one of the other cages and that he was very naughty. I can't imagine how painful it must be for her to see her baby living caged up like her.
The water was so filthy and yellow. My body felt covered in slim after the experience. Having the location in the ocean makes it seem more humane but I still feel sick thinking about these poor dolphins locked up in cages.
Please do not go and visit this place. It is a horrible way to interact with these intelligent and beautiful creatures. Please go and see them in the wild so that you can enjoy them in their natural habitat. It was an awful, cruel and dirty experience. Please also refrain from posting your images with the dolphins on social media as it only fuels the problem more.

Why is this treatment of Dolphins still permitted? These beautiful , intelligent, playful creatures are jailed in inadequately sized cells for the pleasure and entertainment of tourists. The welfare of the dolphins doesn’t seemed to be considered, just the bank account of the operators. How are you allowed to continue to do this?
