Scam
Sep 2020 • Couples
Beware of scam! Prices on the shelves totally different than in cashier. You must check your receipt carefully! When you go to customer service, it took ages to sort things out and they said the refunded money would be deducted from the billing.. Don't trust them! The billing for next month, you found nothing and you had to go to all the drama again just to get your money. You got tossed over and over with so may excuses and you still got any rupiah on that day

Is Big Always Better
Jan 2020
There is no doubt that there is a lot of whatever you are looking for, as long as you don't let yourself get distracted by clothing if you came here for soap powder, for example.

Carrefour is a French owned chain of Supermarkets. Somehow this one got itself relegated to the third floor of the shopping complex. It would have made more sense to have it on he ground floor for ease of in and out. But then you have to walk past all of the other businesses before you get to the Supermarket and with a bit of luck they can waylay you into buying something from them. Maybe that is the point.

The goods are well laid out, there is an internal consistency in place. Every now and again, just when you think you have seen the definitive array of coffees, you find yourself face to face with batik coats and shirts. Or when you turn left at the dairy cabinet, you are confronted with a tower of pineapples. I think they must do this on purpose to refresh your concentration.

Yes, you are going to find everything you need here and more. There are just a few little local quirks that you will need to take on board, however. If you want to purchase headache pills you will need to enter a special little fenced off area and be counselled personally by one of the sales people. Embarrassingly, this is right next to the check out, and everyone is going to know you preferred analgesic. When you buy fruit or vegetables you have to take them to a special area to have them weighed, priced and sealed. If you don't do that before you hit the check out there will be a problem.

There were some hair products that I was looking for. They didn't have them. They every other one on the planet, but not the one I wanted, even though it was a common French brand. I ended up purchasing 9 unknowns in the hope that one of them might resemble what I needed. They didn't. But we did buy some fantastic swimming pool toys and pump!

There is not a problem with parking. Being located on Sunset Road, which is a main artery, getting there is easy. The traffic flows well and with some logic to it. The first time we shopped there we inadvertently parked in the Bus area, but, in true Balinese fashion, no-one mentioned it and the Parkir (Parking assistant) treated us with no less dignity and courtesy than if we had, in fact, been a bus.

Great convenient store

This is a supermarket that stocks everything. Great for food shopping, nice fresh fruit and a huge range too. Loads of white goods in stock but not necessarily the best prices , most of the sole traders in the street will beat their prices so do your homework.

Incredible selection of items which are at the beat prices. Came here without any intention to buy anything but left with three Indonesian batik shirts which were sold at special price!

The market is well arranged and its well equipped for practicality anything!

A must visit if you come to Bali.

We have shopped in Carrefour stores in several countries and we’re are always impressed! This location is no different. It’s located in a very modern mall with fabulous air conditioning. Yay! It’s very hit in Bali!! This is a very clean, very well stocked Carrefour w/everything you need to set up a villa or hotel room. Highly recommend!

We like carrefour, been shopping at this brand in Greece, Spain and France so we were very amused to see there was a carrefour in Bali.

We decided to travel half across the island to check it out and... it was so so.

Nice big supermarket with not bad selection but you will not recognise any products from Europe, this is if at all the same carrefour, a very different and Asian version.

Way more home stuff and clothing then food. Based in a small shopping mall (you pay for parking even as a customer).

To be honest we were a bit disappointed thinking it was a carrefour as we knew it, but as a big random supermarket it was not bad.

What was most tempting was to try the food outlets in the mall, mainly used by locals (so can’t be bad) and way cheaper then any food outlet we saw in tourist areas, unfortunately we just had dinner so never had a chance to try them out.

It’s ok but don’t waist heaps of time in the busy tragic of Bali trying to get here, if you are in the area why not, but if not find another closer alternative such as the supermarket chain called COCO, that was our preferred go to supermarket whilst on Bali.

Lovely big clean mall, everything you could want all under one roof. Was only $4 bluebird taxi ride from Kuta, the selection of fruit vegetables seafood in the supermarket was outstanding. We spent 2 hours wandering around.
