I highly recommend Kadek Local Bali Tours to anyone looking for a driver, a guide , scooter lessons or hiring scooters while in Bali.
Kadek was very friendly and professional from the moment he picked us up from the airport. He drove us to our first destination which was Ubud. Kadek even stopped along the way to pick us up 2 SIM cards and got them activated for us . On our trip to Ubud he was very talkative answering any questions and telling us helpful information along the way. The following day Kadek organised our ATV adventure which was one of our best days in Bali . He picked us up and took us to our tour. The tour was so much fun and to finish of the day the tour included a yummy lunch at one of UBud’s pool bars.
The following day Kadek came back to drop us down to Seminyak where we did our 2 hour scooter lessons. Kadek was a awesome teacher. He is very patient and took his time is teaching us how to ride a scooter Bali style and would make sure that we were confident before we hit the roads in Bali.
He also took us on a day trip to Uluwatu visiting local surf beaches and seeing the local Balinese dancers for sunset at Uluwatu Temple.
I honestly recommend Kadek Local Bali Tours to anyone visiting Bali. You definitely will not be disappointed in Kadek’s service . Nothing is ever a problem and he is always happy to help!!

Kadek creates a safe and supportive space to learn. I was taken to the parking lot of a traditional market that provided ample space to move and practice freely. Kadek guides you through the process one step at a time inviting you to trust the subtle progress and release outcome. He thoroughly observes your ability, confidence and safety as you ride and slowly initiates you into the next levels. The session was quite effortless - as trust allows teacher and student work symbiotically to receive positive outcome. I went from having no experience to joy riding the Balinese streets in just two hours.
Highly recommend learning from Kadek! Have fun and enjoy the ride :)

This was my second visit to Bali and after the first time, I have already known the value of being able to ride a scooter on that beautiful island. Only problem is - where I am from, it’s not a thing people know how to do as car remains the primary way of transportation and let’s just say that traffic rules do not work here the same way…
So I have decided to learn how to ride a scooter with a local teacher and I am absolutely positive that this is a way to go.
I have found Kadek website online and messaged him on WhatsApp. After brief introduction we have scheduled a lesson on a car park.
During the lesson, Kadek explained a lot, from how to operate a scooter to how to behave in Balinese traffic.
After some practice laps around empty car park, we did go for a ride on Balinese streets and along the coast. Who said a lesson need to be a boring thing? Kadek actually managed to make it into a tourist experience!
That alone is worth booking a lesson with him, even if you do have some experience riding a motorcycle or a scooter.
I was also positively surprised that it’s not difficult at all! If you know how to ride a bicycle, you can learn how to ride a scooter, but make sure to book a lesson still! It’s definitely worth the money to make sure an experienced teacher can give you all the safety info. This should give you enough confidence to rent a scooter and travel through Bali on your own terms.

I was terrified of driving a scooter in Bali with the heavy traffic. I had driven a scooter once before, but had a bad experience that rattled me. I shared my concerns with Kadek and within minutes he used logic, humour, and wisdom to settle my nerves. By the end of the first 2-hour lesson I was driving on my own, indicating, emergency breaking, and knew the ins and outs of the scooter. Kadek works miracles. I am hugely grateful to him for giving me the opportunity to learn a new life skill while also giving me my independence to explore Bali. I can’t recommend Kadek enough.

Kadek was very professional from start to finish! He took his time to explain everything I needed to know about the scooter and all its safety features before we finally got on. Kadek was super chilled and made sure I was comfortable by constantly motivating me on the road. I had zero experience with a bike / scooter before this and within 2 hours I was facing the Ubud traffic on my own all thanks to Kadek! Even if you do not plan to rent a scooter to get around town, i would definitely recommend taking up a scooter lesson with Kadek as part of your itinerary as you get to pick up a beneficial skill on your trip while gaining having so much fun! Thank you Kadek!!

Had a fantastic scooter lesson with Kadek. I arrived in Bali starting our backpacking trip around South East Asia having never used a scooter before, and I thought it would be an easy skill to pick up. I tried to rent one in Ubud and attempted to ride one before paying, and it was more difficult than I thought - especially with how busy Bali roads are.
My lesson with Kadek was brilliant, he picked me up in Ubud and we went to a quiet car park and spent the first hour talking through the basics of the scooter and then the next hour driving it with/without Kadek on the back. Kadek’s English was great too, as he has worked in the UK before and he made everything very easy to understand. We finished the lesson by me driving us both back to my apartment in Ubud - through all the busy junctions at 5pm… which I certainly didn’t expect myself to be able to do!
Would 100% recommend for anyone who has never driven a scooter before and is spending a long time in Bali. Scooters are the best way to get around and will save you a lot of money. Taking time to do the lesson at a fair price is definitely great value with Kadek! Thank you

What an amazing teacher! I’ve never driven a bike before and was a bit anxious to get on the road, so I searched for Bali driving lessons and was so fortunate to find Kadek! He is extremely experienced not only in driving, but also in teaching, which is extremely important. He gives you very precise instructions, answers any questions, shares tips and tricks for driving as a local and does it all in an extremely coherent, patient manner. The initial lesson we had focused on all the basics, safety measures and practice driving in an area without traffic so I could get used to the bike. After that lesson I felt confidant enough to get on the road and it went amazing! Thank you so much for your service, I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to learn how to drive in a fast and at the same time safe way and I’m sure you’ll not be disappointed!

I’m very grateful to have had Kadek as my instructor for the first time I tried to ride a scooter in my life. If you’re looking to learn this in Ubud and you’re a person that tends to be anxious when trying a new thing (that you consider, could be dangerous) like me, I strongly recommend you to schedule a session with him.
He’s a gem of an instructor, he embodies a very holistic view of teaching that is really helpful. His calm demeanor helped me to put myself in a place of confidence and openness to feel more at ease with the scooter and actually start enjoying it.
I definitely recommend Kaded to anyone who is looking to ride a scooter for the first time in Ubud. But please, be careful and respectful with the local rules and regulations and try to ride only small distances that you feel comfortable with as a beginner.

Had a scooter lesson with kadek today. He was so good at explaining everything about the scooter and so good at teaching you how to ride it. After just 2 hours i went from not knowing how to ride it to riding it out in the busy streets. I would highly recommend 😊

I had zero experience operating a motorbike, I’ve only been a passenger. After a 2 hour private lesson with Kadek I felt confident enough to drive us home, of course this was with the approval of my instructor : ) I couldn't have been happier with the experience! I found my lesson to be perfectly paced. Kadek explained each exercise well, so I felt confident that I was doing the right thing each time I got on the bike. The venue was a large empty parking lot near the beach in Sanur so it’s very safe. It felt good to know I could book as many hours as I needed until I felt confident.
As a teacher, Kadek is excellent! He is calm, patient and friendly and has a fantastic sense of humor. He is clearly an experienced rider and conveyed the joys and dangers of motorbikes in a balanced way while enlightening me on how to avoid common problems. He was attentive and gave great feedback during the exercises. The mood was relaxed, fun and informal.
Tip: Bring water. Leave your FEARS at home and rent your Motorbike ASAP “practice makes perfect”

Has anyone rented one of kadeks scooters? I will be getting lessons from him, and i know they are great, but also looking into renting a scooter for a week. Any reviews on that would be great :)

Yes. My brother in law rented a scooter for a week from Kadek. Best price so far. 50Rp for a day but for 7 days he only charged 250Rp ! Scooter was in good condition. That includes the helmet & raincoat. Professional and an honest person.
