One of the best offbeat locations near Mussoorie is this place. The owner was very welcoming. They have collected a lot of ancient scriptures, ornaments, currencies and much more. The owner herself with her husband have created hand made paintings which are marvellous. This place should be in your mussoorie itenary. Couldn’t take a lot of photos because its not allowed but its worth it.

One of the most unique and personalised experiences. Kudos to the Shuklas, who are doing a great job in sharing and spreading information about the region, history and traditions. They are a treasure trove of information since every single thing has a personal involvement - in collecting it, or creating it. They deserve all the recognition they have got, and wish them more success. Definitely a MUST VISIT attraction in the region, and a gem.

A short walk up the hill and I was greeted by Kavita Aunty with a generous smile that instantly made me feel welcomed. Guiding me through the entire place she explained every part of it, beginning from painting on the planks depicting everyday life, masks used during festivals, a dedicated room for her paintings and patterns each depicting it’s story so beautifully, from architectural style, traditional cookware, currency, old manuscripts to jewellery and sculptures. I especially loved the little shiva temple at the middle of the museum. Each part has been put together so well, taking you to one form of art to another that I was curious to know more and more about it. Overall a beautiful display of their years of study and collection depicting the lives and culture of people of Himalayas.

Soham center is a great place to visit in Mussoorie. It’s a bit further than Mall Road but it’s worth it. The exhibition is really interesting, and there’s a great display of local craft from all the diverse Himalayan culture. Kavita and her husband are very welcoming and have a lot of information to share with the visitors. I highly recommend!

Very nice museum Very interesting. I was greeted by Kavita the owner of the place who showed me around. Together with her husband they collected many treasures that tell the story of the region Uttarakhand. This visit gives another perspective on the visit of the region. Thank you to them for preserving this memory and sharing it.

Very impressed by the creative talent and collaboration of traditional art techniques and utilisation of multi media . We enjoyed the exhibition displays of artefacts and the shop was very good value for money . Would highly recommend !

It was such an amazing experience, conserving the uttarakhand culture and spreading it to the people is a great initiative,the way mam explains every history and story related to every thing in museum is just amazing. People should really visit it to experience and overwhelming emotion,close to the culture and traditions of uttarakhand. The atmosphere there was such a peace and calming. The hospitality was amazing. I am really greatful for such an experience,would surely get back there soon again.
