Library Bazaar or Chowk is located at one end of Mall Road and houses one of oldest libraries in the city and has other shops
It is located close to the Mussoorie bus stand and the road on the right goes on to Happy Valley

Mussoorie's Library has been an attraction since the 1840s and I was keen to see it. It is charmingly run down and full of character. As a writer with some hours to spare, I was hoping to be able to browse its shelves. I would cheerfully have paid several hundred rupees for the privilege. Sadly, the staff told me I could look but not touch. What a pity. If the Library had a policy of admitting bona fide visiting readers on payment of a fee it could generate useful income. Sadly, that seemed impossible: an opportunity wasted.

On the left hand side of The Mall is situated the Library Bazaar. Mussoorie Library is an old building having several shops and other business outlets. Small restaurants, vegetable shops, grocery shops, tea and coffee shops serving eggs are there. These are low profile (cheaper rates) as compared to the other side of The Mall, the Kulri Bazar (Picture Palace) side. The place is always crowded and sometimes even walking is difficult here. It is the exit point for Kempty Falls, Company Bagh and Yamuna Bridge. We purchased grocery and vegetables for our breakfast from here. We tried eggs Omelette fried in butter with tea at road side near Amdedkar Statue. One can not enter The Mall during day time in season.

Located in the heart of Mussoorie, Library Bazaar is situated actually at one end of the Mall Road. It is also a drop / pick-up points for the tourist staying in the hotel on Mall Road, as tourist vehicles are not allowed in Mall Road. Traffic congestion is very common here due to over-load of tourists and their vehicles. The place is always bustling and has lively vibe, however at times it is difficult to even walk on the street due to over-crowding. It is surrounded by all kind of shops including restaurant, provisions, vegetable, tea & coffee, garments etc.

It's the central chowk of Mussoorie. While the place has it's own vibe, it's too crowded over the weekends, holidays and evening. Very difficult to visit by your own car.

This is perhaps the entry point of Massoourie from Rishikesh. This place is really crowded through the day. Traffic congestion is very common here. Even at night, this place is full of people. Few food shops are good
You can get two wheelers on rent from this place. But please bargain as they quote unreasonable rates in begging to tourist but would settle for lower.

Library Chowk or bazar is the entry point of Mussorrie city, Mall Road and Kempty Fall. So it is congested any time of the year by vehicles, add to the general walking tourists. It is also called Gandhi Chowk with a standing statue of Mahatma Gandhi. View of Dehradun valley can be seen from here. Apart from this this chowk has many restaurants and some hotels.

The Gandhi chowk and one end of the Mall is the most crowded part of the Mall. There is always traffic jam and the place is highly polluted. A good restaurant exists- Laxmi Msithan Bhandar which makes the best Chole Bhature and Samosa in the town. The library and band stand is also close by.
