This is a road that looks like a camel back. This is within Mall road and hence, when you are actually on camel road, you might not realize that is so.

This unique rock formation looks like a Camel. Hence the road is named Camel's Back road. It is difficult to make out the shape but once you look very carefully you can make out the shape. It is near the telescopic point and for a small sum you can also look at it from the telescope.

It is from this specific geological structure know as ‘ The Camel Rock ‘ that the Road which embraces the North side of Mussoorie derives it’s name. Unless you go to the top, eg Gun Hill area, you are not likely to sight it. Knowing where it is visible from, albeit some difficult with the naked eye, you can see the outline against the sky background. I note one or two Chi shops along the latter part of the Road have now placed a Sign “Camel Rock visible here”. I have included several pics which using my Mobile notes it’s location.one would need a camera with Tel-Lens to see it best. Good luck in your sighting.

An overrated road. Okay to take a walk if you are in the vicinity of the company garden. Unfortunately tourists had thrown empty water bottles in the otherwise clean road

The trekking route to reach this point is very picturesque. The rock formation is shaped like a camel back and it is natural.

Well Camel Rock is really an ideal place for peoples who like photography as from here they can such a nice shot for high and beautiful hills. But for people who have problem in their keen, I would recommend do not go their as to reach their you need to walk on Camel back Road where very difficult to walk due to very high and straight curvy road.

This is accessible by walk / cycle rickshaw and couple of kms from the Gun hill ropeway point. We walked all the way through and we were surprised to see this on the opposite side of the valley. There are couple of shops selling snacks and you would need some assistance to spot the camel rock :) I think everyone would think it is on the valley side, but actually, this is on the opposite side, viewed only by sitting down and focused. The walk to the place is enjoyable with valley views all through

Nice little walk. The view is also what you see from the car, however its just like a short walk away from the buzy mall road which brings the change.
