Radha Kund and Krishna Kund come on choti parikrama marg of Govardhan. Both the Kunds (ponds) are interconnected and adjacent to each other. One can take holy dip in the Kund. You can also buy fresh vegetables from the market outside Rada Kund.

I went to collect folktales related to the region for my Folklore Project. Good place. Beware of local guides, they might create a noisy scene to extract some money from you.

After my Barsana trip, I went for the Govardhan parikrama where I came across Radha kund. Beside it there is a other kund called Shyam kund.

We found it an average place due to absence of attracting elements. In essence, found it an ordinary place.

A holy pond, on way to Govardhan Hill, approx 4-5 Kms away & is popular among the Radha-Krishna devotees. Pujas & rituals are performed here, hence water is dirty due to contamination through the offerings, hence do not drink or even take a dip. Shyam Kund is located adjacent to it & the Sangam is considered holy. It is not a tourist destination, but a popular holy place of eligious importance for Krishna followers.

The tour of the main Kunds in Govardhan is beautiful and fascinating, and is believed to be highly auspicious within the Hindu religious tradition. However, beware of scammers at Radha Kund in particular. It's the last on the main circuit, and as you alight from the tuk-tuk, a very fast-talking young salesman may assail you with the imperative of only doing the puja facilitated by him (as if it's the only bona fide way). Do not fall for it! He will demand a lot of money to do the ceremony with you, and this is NOT authorized by any temple authorities. (Legitimate donation boxes are provided, or you can make a moderate donation to a brahmin there for a wrist thread etc.) The scammer harassed me for a half hour, and my driver eventually came out of concern, and was very angry with this bogus temple representative. I actually paid fatigued, and very sensitive about causing any offence in this place through cynicism or defensiveness. Ironically, he is the one who is being very offensive in such a holy place to exploit it purely for personal gain. I'm not talking about someone just trying to eek out a living, he is doing very well out of this manipulative activity, and no doubt he has a few friends. My best advice (and I found this very useful at Pushkar Lake and other places) is to politely and assertively say: 'Nijee pooja theek hai!' ('Private worship is OK'). I've had bogus brahmins and scammers crack up and 'high five' me on hearing this, and they subsequently left me alone, perhaps amused at the calling of their bluff.

Sri Radha Kind occupies a very important place in entire brajbhoomi. It's a small town 4 KMS from Goverdhan . Associated with a huge water body which appeared due to Radha Rani's grace . People living here are full of devotion towards Lord Krishna and Sri Radha. A must visit
