- Bhavin ModhaVadodara, India29 contributionsBest clean holy place of Shri KrishnaPious and best temple of Shri Krishna. Better to visit on your own, Guide not required. It has Karavas birthplace and a separate temple of Shri Krishna. It also has a small cave JHANKHI of Shri Krishna's life. In house Rabdi, dudh and peda are delicious. Visit the REAL Brijvasi Sweet shop to have Dodha Barfi, Mathura peda and Soan papadi. It's near to gate 1.Visited January 2023Travelled with familyWritten 21 January 2023

To have experienced this shrine where Krishna was born was simply and utterly Divine. The actual energy in the shrine is immense and I truly received the impression that a Divine Being had been there, even if it was 5,000 years ago.

The temple is amazing. A place to leave your soul and disintegrate in Shri Krishna.
Must to know: Keep your belongings in your vehicle in the trunk. You can't carry a thing inside.

Went to Mathura with Family. Unfortunately fell victim to fraudsters as described by many of the tourists here. They follow the same script as mentioned in the reviews!!
Do checkout reviews of Gokul,Mathura and be aware of this scam.
DO NOT ENTERTAIN ANY "GUIDE" YOU COME ACROSS IN ANY OF THESE SACRED PLACES. THEY ARE LOOTING INNOCENT PEOPLE IN THE NAME OF GOD.
I wish I could have read through the reviews before visiting Mathura.

One can feel Shri Krishna's presence across the temple premises. Place is very crowded but its worth all the wait to have darshan.

Does not matter, until and unless there is any festivity happening. Try to go in the morning itself so that you will have rest of the day to tour Vrindavan

I want to know whether I can visit Shri Krishna janmabhoomi temple, Mathura and Taj Mahal Agra from Delhi in one day or will it take two days? and what are the charges taken by private vehicles for it like car, and/or bus from Delhi for the same?

From Delhi to mathura it's took 3 hours and all temples will close at 12pm and again it's opens at 4 - 4:30pm. I will suggest you to plan the journey for 2 days. Otherwise it will be a long day for about 18 hour if you want to complete in one day, total kms would be about 500 kms. Take private car and they will charge you maximum 10k for day trip.
