This is my first trip in Varanasi and I travel alone there. For safety I have to hire a guide, which I saw hotel review from traveller, wrote about the boy's name "Aman" he was a student who made a career as guides. I decided to rent a room from this hotel. I hope i can met him and asked for take me tour around Varanasi. But it was destiny Because people who picked me up at the airport is Aman. Even I had only two day in Varanasi. But he do his job very well, he asked what I like to see. Even the food I need to have Or of wanting to buy It also helps to think of ways to save money on expenses. Say that this is my friend, he treated me like friends, caring friends. Thanks for the great memories.

As an add-on to a trip to the Golden Triangle of India, I visited Varanasi, the ancient city along the Ganges River, where all HIndu people want to die, be cremated and put to final rest. The day starts with a pre-dawn visit to the River Front where the River is greeted in the morning. The view along the river is aided by the fact that the river runs north-south, and the side with all the temples is on the west side, perfect for photos from on an early morning excursion.. Then in the evening the River is put to sleep. Get there early and board a small river boat for the ceremony of putting e river to sleep. Again you go out on the river to view the temples with services taking place. You walk among the funeral pyres to look at the River to get a fuller understanding of the world environment.

Varanasi Old City Tours was very helpful to us during our short stay in Varanasi. They helped us find our way to our lovely hotel on the Ganges and we took an afternoon walking tour with them. Our guide was on the young side, but managed to do a good job showing us around. He looked after us the entire time. We finished the tour off with a short boat ride to the main Ghat and then the night ceremony. All in all, it was a good day. The following day they were once again very helpful in getting us back to the train station. Not an easy task for the average visitor.

Aman's guiding services really enhanced our stay in the remarkable city of Varanasi. He is a personable, knowledgeable young man with an extremely good command of English. We asked him to show us as much as possible within the limited time available (a day and a half) and he certainly didn't disappoint! We managed to do three boat trips (including the Aarti and sunrise ceremonies), a city walk and a trip to Sarnath; all the arrangements went very smoothly and were at reasonable cost. The sunrise experience and early morning boat ride were truly unforgettable. We got the impression that it was a true pleasure to show us around his city and can highly recommend his services.. Aman's contact no is + 91 9918370278

Just arrived in India, we had a lot of help from Aman who show us the city.
I asked him many things and wanted to go in different "secret" (non touristics) places and he did help me for all of that.
Thank you my friend :)

We were a lost couple in the old Varanasi and Kashi really helped us to discover this place, with visiting local silk production and employing social workers. We recomend this guy for the visits.

I signed up for a 3- day Varanasi city tour after carefully reading all tour infos available by Tripadvisor. It was not exactly what I would call a CHEAP tour and promised the visit of many interesting Varanasi sights. Would you believe that I received a total of a one (1) day tour? If I have ever been disappointed, this was it! Let me explain: Due to high water level the boat trips on the Ganges was cancelled. The Varanasi HIGHLIGHT as it is advertised ....was cancelled with no alternative feature offered. Of all ghats we visited one (1). The ritual Aarti ceremony was unceremoniously moved to some really unattractive compound were the view/audio was not very good for most guests.
The walking tour through the OldTown was ok, but then the Golden Temple was a 1minute-affair as was the monkey temple. Why mention and advertise it? There was virtually nothing to see.
After breakfast at the Hotel (which was very nice), we drove to Sarnath. We saw everything with our guide, visited the archeological museum and all other sights. From there the driver took us for a drive through the University grounds and to a very interesting museum dedicated to India. In it is a stone relief of the Country of India displayed. Very interesting to see the " lay of the land", the Indian Continent.
