If it wasn´t for the history that is around this place maybe wouldn´t be that much of a deal. The main stupa park is very nice and enjoyable even in hot summer. Museum is closed on fridays! The temples nearby are just ok...

Good place to see.This is the place where the Buddha give his 1st ritual speech. Sarnath is the place where you know the ancient culture the Varanasi as well the Buddha history.

Very Clean, Best time is of winters as in summer scorching heat will be a problem. Do not purchase anything from outside shopkeepers as rates are exhorbitant. Nice place to visit.

Lots of hustle and bustle outside the gates but once inside we found the grounds relaxing and peaceful. It is the world's most important Buddhist site and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
