Visited the temple after the Ganga Arti but was really sad to see the state of the temple. It was not clean & there was a stink of coconut water. The passage that lead inside the temple was also very dirty. The temple trust need to take cognizance of the same & manage it well.

High security because the old temple that was destroyed has a mosque built on the site now and Hindu nationalists want to move the temple back to the site. Non-Hindus are not allowed inside but you can see the golden top and peer in through the open gates.

This is the holiest temple for Hindus. This is located around 300 m from Gangaa river. Cleanliness needs to be maintained. Entry to the temple is through narrow lanes. If the Hotel can arrange a person to guide, it will be very useful without getting cheated. We visited on 17th December 2016. There was no crowd. People outside the temple... More

One of the 12 Jyothir Lingas. He is the ruler of the universe. Temple is on the west bank of sacred Ganga. One has to go through the narrow lanes of Kashi to reach the temple. The sacred Linga is almost triangular in shape and it is little below the ground level housed in silver alter protected by square metal... More

On 26th Dec we visited Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, believed to be the most sacred temple for all Hindus. Had a wonderful darshan even though we got very little time in front of the Ling. Crowd was orderly without any hassle. Queue was not that big. We started our queue at 10am and we could complete our darshan within 2 hours... More
