We went for Ganga Arthi and was blown away with the way this was performed. The live music was outstanding. The only problem i had was the people pestering for money for this prayer and that prayer. We also went on the sunrise boat ride which was fantastic.

Felt very safe, walking at 10pm and 7am... walked the ghats from Assi to Manikarnika three times. The spirit of Vedic India can be accessed in its manifold forms - earthy, transitory, uplifting, money-grubbing, serene.

We took a motorized boat for about 9 people and took a ride for around 1 hour going through all Ghats. They say at Manikarnika ghat fire, which burns bodies, never stop due to a curse from Shiv- Parvati.... More

You can walk from 1 Ghats to another Ghats. All Ghats are beautifully build with Architecture thoughts. You find each Ghat is different looks and different History which is very interesting. I will suggest take a Guide
