The shop sells sarees of very good quality. The fabric is original and long lasting. Grateful to the host for a wonderful overview of the sarees. You will also find shawls apart from sarees in the shop.

The whole experience of Varanasi is amazing. The architecture of the whole ghats is a different experience all the way.

Our trip to Varanasi in mid-november naturally included shopping for Banarasi sarees. And like all shopping expeditions I expected it to include visit to multiple stores and the stress of bargaining. But all that went out of the window once we met Harish and visited Himagauri. A beautiful collection of handloom silks that met all my expectations. More importantly, the time that Harish spent explaining the weaves and the designs made it an enriching experience too. Harish and his team were willing to spend as much time and effort it took for me to find what I needed. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an excellent shopping experience!

Harish sells silk. This is silk like you seldom see. He has an ocean of the most heart-breakingly beautiful saris, scarves and cloths. The problem is how to choose because one is more beautiful than the next and you want everything. You want to dive into the silk, wrap it around yourself and never wear anything else.

My friend and I were very fortunate to have discovered that Paraslakshmi Exports was right next to our homestay. With a big 3 day Mumbai wedding to attend at the end of our month travelling India Harish and his staff were extremely helpful in showing us options and providing us assistance in selecting our fabric for each event. Harish is relaxed, patient and extremely knowledgeable about textiles, he has a great selection of high quality silk, wool and cashmere. Everything here is fixed price, there is no pressure to purchase and if you need your textiles / purchases shipped anywhere (like we did) Harish will make all of that happen for you. He worked his magic to get 4 blouses for our sarees measured, made, altered and finished during the 4 days we were in Varanasi. I arrived at the store very overwhelmed (and anxious) about finding the right sarees and left extremely grateful and pleased about the over all experience from Harish and his staff. Beautiful shop, beautiful people, high quality textiles! Make sure you check out his range of shawls as well!

This textile shop is part of a beautiful homestay. As part of our trip to explore Varanasi we also wanted to purchase saris for an elaborate wedding we were attending in Mumbai. Harish, the owner, asked many questions to understand the occasions, the expectations, our budgets and preferred styles. There was no pressure to buy. The saris were laid out in front of us to touch, drape on our shoulders and admire. The workmanship of the saris were gorgeous, after days exploring the city and surrounds it was confirmed that Homestay held quality and reasonable priced (fixed) wares. We had the petticoat and blouse made in around 3-4days and had our saris and shawls couriered to Mumbai. We also bought numerous quality shawls and scarfs. Nothing was too difficult for Harish who guided us through the process with patience and integrity.
