Harish sells silk. This is silk like you seldom see. He has an ocean of the most heart-breakingly beautiful saris, scarves and cloths. The problem is how to choose because one is more beautiful than the next and you want everything. You want to dive into the silk, wrap it around yourself and never wear anything else.

Beautiful high quality textiles in a relaxed fixed price store
Jan 2020 • Friends
My friend and I were very fortunate to have discovered that Paraslakshmi Exports was right next to our homestay. With a big 3 day Mumbai wedding to attend at the end of our month travelling India Harish and his staff were extremely helpful in showing us options and providing us assistance in selecting our fabric for each event. Harish is relaxed, patient and extremely knowledgeable about textiles, he has a great selection of high quality silk, wool and cashmere. Everything here is fixed price, there is no pressure to purchase and if you need your textiles / purchases shipped anywhere (like we did) Harish will make all of that happen for you. He worked his magic to get 4 blouses for our sarees measured, made, altered and finished during the 4 days we were in Varanasi. I arrived at the store very overwhelmed (and anxious) about finding the right sarees and left extremely grateful and pleased about the over all experience from Harish and his staff. Beautiful shop, beautiful people, high quality textiles! Make sure you check out his range of shawls as well!

Quality textiles and extensive variety
Jan 2020 • Friends
This textile shop is part of a beautiful homestay. As part of our trip to explore Varanasi we also wanted to purchase saris for an elaborate wedding we were attending in Mumbai. Harish, the owner, asked many questions to understand the occasions, the expectations, our budgets and preferred styles. There was no pressure to buy. The saris were laid out in front of us to touch, drape on our shoulders and admire. The workmanship of the saris were gorgeous, after days exploring the city and surrounds it was confirmed that Homestay held quality and reasonable priced (fixed) wares. We had the petticoat and blouse made in around 3-4days and had our saris and shawls couriered to Mumbai. We also bought numerous quality shawls and scarfs. Nothing was too difficult for Harish who guided us through the process with patience and integrity.

Good visit

We loved Himagauri

We have been old customers, and ardent lovers of the quality products of Paras Lakshmi Exports since the last 25 years. We have been shopping silk sarees here from many years & I must say the quality is extra ordinary. Considering someone who loves sarees, my collection from their store stands out as the most unique & valuable one. Recently visited them again and loved their new brand Himagauri and the latest collection and shopped way too many.

Genuine quality silk sarees at Himagauri
Dec 2019 • Family
Himagauri is one of kind shopping experience when you go to Varanasi. Pure silk benarsi sarees as a must but. Fair prices, no commsionn based shop with fixed prices are a rare site in a city that can be overwhelming most times. What an experience!

What a quality at this lovely shop
Nov 2019 • Family
I visited Varanasi last month with my wife & daughters. I was looking for genuine quality of Silk sarees from Varanasi & despite trying multiple shops, this was the only one which dealt with fair pricing & real silk quality. We had a great time chatting with Harish who was helpful in helping us understand the silk quality better. They don't pay any commissions to touts & drivers & is a must visit if you are looking for quality products & silk sarees.

One word - QUALITY!
Oct 2019
During our stay with Harish and his family, we spent some time purchasing gifts for family and friends (and ourselves too!) from his beautiful shop. The only complaint I can make is that there was simply too much too choose from! I purchased some exquisite silk scarves that I have since gifted to friends on my return home, and they have loved them. The service was relaxed, with absolutely no pressure to buy which was lovely. Harish is an absolute connoisseur of the textile business and has very high standards - and the cherry on top is that it is all very reasonably priced, so I definitely recommend leaving some space in the luggage for a few purchases.

So thrilled to be shown so many exquisite pieces of work. Conveniently positioned at his homestay accommodation. Harish owns the factory where they are made. (both on looms and handmade).
I couldn't resist purchasing (we definitely weren't pressured). Perfect for gifts. Our pieces were packaged beautifully for us all ready to be posted home. 😍

When it comes to finely crafted and beautifully designed cloth in high-quality natural fibres, a visit to Harish Rihjwari's shop is a must. Harish lovingly calls these his babies. He has a personal hand in their designs and it is hard not to be entranced by them. Sitting on one of the long, cushioned seats around the display table in his showroom as his helpers display these articles of artisanal excellence is a unique Indian experience. Harish is an honourable and trustworthy dealer who asks a fair price, and there are items that suit a wide range of budgets. There is no pressure to buy and it is always wise to sleep on a decision, but once you have made it you won't be disappointed. As always, one must hold in great respect the weavers and cloth workers Harish employs. These artworks create a mysterious relationship between the admirer and their creators, cemented by the highly sensory nature of these pieces - tactile, visual & olfactory.

Beauty and integrity - a rare mixture
Oct 2019
Having stayed a few days earlier in Varanasi before coming to stay with Harish I had bought myself a bedcover from another store. I was not aware of what treasures were hidden at the homestay and when I saw what was on offer decided to show Harish what I had already purchased. He was horrified to hear the price I paid and supported me in going back to the store to ask for my money back. Not something I would ordinarily do and fuelled by Harish’s words I found myself on the back of his motorcycle winding through the streets of Varanasi as he dropped me off at the end of the lane where the shop was. Cutting a long story short I got my money back and spent a wonderful period of time looking through the delicious colours and fabrics Harish himself had to offer. I bought TWO bedcovers from him that were still cheaper than the ONE I had returned. Well worth taking time to have a look at what he has with things to suit every price bracket.. Much gratitude for the care taken.
