After visiting several Hindi Temples with my guide four hours earlier, I was happy to visit this temple. There is adequate area to park the motorcycle of my guide. Few worshippers during our visit so no pushing or jostling.
We visited the main area where I noted the statue being worshipped. Observed also my guide as he did his prayers, touching the steps as he moved towards the altar and standing on just one leg while doing his prayers.

Durga Mandir aka Durga Kund Mandir or the Monkey Temple is a beautiful red temple in Varanasi (Benares or Banaras), which has great religious importance in Hinduism and is dedicated to the Goddess Durga. Inside a lot of monkeys are watching you while you walk around in a red fantasy world.

Roads and other Facilities improved to great extent. Cruise ride from Ravi das ghat is a pleasure. If you are senior citizen avoid riding e rickshaw. It is too bumpy.

Durga mandir is near Tulsi mandir and a great place to seek the blessings of lord Durga. Many shops are there to enjoy the street food outside temple.

Its a Goddess Durga Temple one of the big Temple in Bhelupur, Well structured and inside you will find other idols too, A holy Temple of Hindu, "Aarti/Pooja" praise/worship the Goddess used to be done Every Morning and Evening, people can get the "Darshan(Holy Goddess View)" easily as its less crowded during weekdays as compare to weekends but if you are planning to visit during "Durga Asthami" then you may have spend long hours in Queue. Enchanting atmosphere and peace stole my heart.
