Transformed mandir, one of the most important religious place in India.
One of the important religious place in India. Recently massive transformation done by PM. Very well maintained. Huge crowd at any point of time. Recommend to book the Darshan slot online through official site of Kashi Vishwanath temple trust. Book Sugam Darshan which is very well managed by the trust. Do not entertain agent Shastri. You can complete Darshan within hr through Sugam Darshan.

    Wonderful Vishwanath Temple
One of the most pious and important Hindu temples. Lord Shiva temple is magnificent. The temple is very clean and organised. We had good Darshan in comfortable manner even though there were many pilgrims.

    Good experience
The temple is for religious and spiritual journey a person can undertake. With the new developments the area is now bigger, cleaner and managed properly. We visited all the main temples like Sankat Mochan mandir, Kal Bhairav Mandir, Durga Mata mandir etc. The darshan was good, the crowd is there however it is moving and managed well. One thing we noticed is no dakshina no teertha from the priest, they insist on giving dakshina at least INR 2 or 5 else they do nt give teertha. Photography is not allowed in all the main temples so do not have photos

    Simply Har Har Mahadev 🙏
It is an experience! simply spellbinding and just walking thru the streets and the Queue to seek blessings of har har mahadev who has literally chosen to sit down unlike other temples where he is to eye level or higher is amazing.... Yes you have to look down to the lingam for Darshan. We were fortunate for not having a long wait and could finish the entire temple darshan including Annapoorneswari temple as well in about 2hrs and without fetching any special darshan tix. Its always good to have a guide who knows the city and temples well so they can guide you else getting lost is for sure 😊

    Holiness of the purest soul
We were not sure on what would be best time to visit the temple m, with its large following our thoughts were to opt for Mangla Aarti darshan which is usually between 3-4 am (although it’s too early ) we expect less crowds and between this we met a local by sheer Co incidence who overheard our chatter and suggested to opt for darshan at the current hour which was around 9pm. He guided us that temple is pretty close by and also not much crowded. We went by his thoughts and also were relieved of mid night trip with this we took a e rickshaw to cover half km of distance admist crowded and extremely noisy hour of Varanasi traffic. Upon reaching we parked our r mobile phones and bags at locker facilities run by private operators and thus begun our journey with clouded minds we entered the premises an found footwear drop point which then was near to main temple. There was not many people until we approached last queue which again was not so long or crowded or pushy. I’m sure in quick mins we had our opportunity to pray with main shrine which is located not in centre and is again a feet deeper then surrounding thence a bit of effort to visually locate and pay our respects. With temple being not so crowded we choose to sit a big longer within the tranquil premises and feel the aura which was one of the wisest choice as the next 2 hours were enriching with chants of aarti which was merged with drum rolls an after a few mins we witnessed the chants of bringing lord shiva to sleep. It was surreal and none of us were expecting to be surrounded with such divinity that the most difficult choice was to leave the premises as it was already midnight the lord had rested and we also had to collect our belongings (the locker guy was available as we reached and informed they’re open 24x7 with a smile )

    Soul of Varanasi
This is one of the most revered Shiv Temple in the world. Had an incredible experience visiting here and performing Rudrabhishek Puja. The whole environment is so serene and electric that you need to be here to experience it! The Temple and Darshans are now very well organized and you can book Darshans in advance online. You can book Sugam Darshan which won't take more than an hour even on a Monday morning. Better still you can book Rudrabhishek Puja where one of the priests will come with you, organise all the Puja thali and will help you to perform this Puja! You will then offer that milk and samagri on the main Deity. The whole experience did not take more than 90 min and you'll feel Blessed! Few tips: 1. Book your Darshans / Pooja in advance online. 2. If you are taking elderly with you, be mindful that they'll need to walk. Wheelchairs are available but limited. 3. Take public transport (taxi, auto, e-rickshaw) to reach here. You won't find car parking anywhere closeby. 4. You do NOT need to give away your footwear / wallets / mobile in the lockers outside the temple complex. There is a place to leave these things right inside the temple. 5. Wear non revealing clothes, recommended to wear Indian clothes.

Trust me you won't come out after entering the temple premises. It is such a wonderful feeling inside the temple. We had great darshan as tickets were arranged By Khatu Ji Wholesale Bazar as their generosity.

The main purpose of visiting varanasi was Kashi vishwanath temple as it is one of the jyotirlinga which we wanted to do. As I was travelling with my mom and daughter so opted for mangla aarti booking, thinking it will be in morning so will do darshan peacefully. But the experience was totally opposite. First of all no one will tell you that you can keep your belongings near the temple gate shops as well, even if you keep asking. So we deposited at the shop which was far from gate. Be prepared to buy Pooja stuffs for keeping your belongings but it is only to keep belongings, you will hardly get a chance to use it for Pooja.
Finally we entered temple promises, as around 250 passes they give , so you will see aarti only on the screen which was okay. We thought after aarti they will let you put jal and flowers on shivling. But as soon as aarti finished there were chaos. People were running inside pushing each other. On top of that they were letting people enter from two side and that too with multiple lines. Everyone pushing, my daughter crying because of this, we felt helpless and shocked as I did not expect this. The only way to enter was to just keep moving and pushing your way out.
That was not all , they were not limiting the people in garbh grah so you have to find a way between people to do darshan. When we did that and started putting the jal, the lady police pulled out telling that's not the right way.
I was so angry , they did not consider the age of my mother she could have fallen down and top of that the male police took Pooja tokri from her hand not letting her put it. I kept thinking what was the point of booking aarti why don't people tell you the real picture of aarti. The people who did normal darshan must have had better experience.
Very poor crowd management , you feel helpless as you can't do anything. I have been to many crowded temples but Kashi was my worst experience.
The police there is rude and do not respond or talk properly. We were waiting for someone but they made us stand on road were not letting stand on the side of sit even though they had empty stool with them. Felt like they have no heart at all.
The only happened good was the darshan which we managed to do apart from that it's not a place for family visit.
I don't think I will ever go to this place again. It's a land of lord Shiva who I am sure must be very sad seeing all this.

Well I think that I exhausted my time by visiting to Varanasi, First of all the temple, Priests were doing Arbitrary, even after we spent two hours they just closed the gate for so called Vip person, and second worst experience I had with people, so I would like to tell that you won't be welcomed here by locals, after all they all are same rude, arrogant, so called goons, so yeah I am getting a feeling that I would not visit it next time and after this incident I got confirmation from these useless fellows that God exists everywhere and you should not search them in temples, and peoples of these cities. Please improve yourself you are ruining your city image and value. That's all and yes if someone disagree with me then i must inform you that my review is completely based on true experiences.
Peoples who have visited please comment and let me and other know and create an awareness for added safety to the tourists.
Thank You
