It is said that Parijat Tree was brought down to earth from heaven by Arjun and plated at this place which falls in Barabanki District, near Ramnagar. Extremely old tree. But worth a visit. Sad to see poor maintenance by Forest Deaprtment

Kintur, is near Barabanki. There are a many ancient temples around this place. Near a temple established by Kunti, is a special tree called Parijaat which is said to grow from Kunti's ashes. Another saying being, that Lord Krishna brought this tree for queen Rukmini.

Waste of time to go so far off from city. The tree has only a symobolic value for those who believe the ancient story.
