Worth a visit but be prepared for the sales tactics.
Interesting, but then became unsure how authentic and unique it all is based on the hard sell. Some very nice products but overpriced. However, on a short trip sometimes there’s no time to bargain shop and I like what I bought

Interesting link to Taj Mahal visit but inevitable sales push
Visited as part of tour and it was interesting to see the techniques used to construct the Taj Mahal applies to range of products. As soon as you enter you do know it’s going to be the usual selling approach albeit it was done politely. In did buy a piece I liked as a present but it is all very expensive (I paid £200 for a 25 x 25cm square tablet.

It was good to see the techniques being followed from antiquity into making beautiful marble artworks. They did try to sell their things and we did buy. But then it is a two way thing always, a win win of sorts. Very happy with the after sales service, postage etc.

Just back from a day trip to Agra which was awesome.

One of the many highlights of my day was meeting Raj, and his fellow staff at Nice Marble Art & Handicrafts.

What an experience! Raj introduced me to Chai Masala, palm reading - as well as the world of precious stones.

I came away from my visit with a few beautiful jewellery pieces which I will cherish, but it was the kindness of Raj that made the visit extra special.

Thank you!

As an enticement to make a purchase, they told me I could get a refund on the GST at the airport. Turns out, that process is still not in place and when it starts, it will start with businesses registered in a specific GST program. Since they lied to me about this, I’m not sure what else they are lying about. Disappointing they’d take such a reputation-damaging step like this.

I think that it is very unfair of the tour guides taking you to these stores. if I want to buy something I will do so quite happily but to have someone pressuring you into buying unwanted, expensive things is totally wrong

We visited Nice Marble Arts & Handicrafts with our friends to get a close up experience of the magnificent inlay work and skills of the craftsman whose ancestors worked on the Taj Mahal. Douglas Sequeria kindly explained the process and his craftsmen demonstrated how they shape each piece to be inlayed. Quite amazing especially as they were using ancient tools.
The showroom was filled with exquisite pieces from tables to trays, platters, vases and more. It was a wonderful experience that provided our group with an insight into this work and the days and days involved in creating just one piece. There was no hard pressure selling and we felt comfortable to look around with ease.
