About
Sheroes, here, are mostly women who have fought back for life and survival through heinous chemical burns and are now, on a course to define themselves as 'fighters'. Courageous fighters who walk with scars. And this Hangout is where empowerment of women no more remains a widely funded phenomena, but materialises in form of a readers' cafe, an activism workshop, a community radio hub.

We visited Sheroes Hangout today with our group and it was wonderful! It was lovely to hear the stories of these beautiful women and to see their strength. They served us a delicious lunch with coffees and masala chais and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The space is decorated so beautifully as well. I would highly recommend a stop here at this cafe while in Agra! Thank you Sheroes!

The best cafe in Agra. Staff is so humble & supportive. The food so delicious. I would recommend everyone to visit this cafe and interact with survivors of acid attacks. You will definitely gonna enjoy the time.

The vibe, the food, the beautiful people, and their heartwarming smiles. It was inspiring and uplifting to witness the dedication and passion with which everybody works here.
Special mention for the Cold Coffee. Simply made the heat of Agra combatable.
Cheers and all my love to the owner, the staff, and the two adorable kids. :)

Hearing the stories of the survivors of acid attacks and being able to spend time eating, talking, and dancing with them was such a gift. Celebrating Holi was extra fun!! I’ll come back every time I’m in India!!

Sheroes has been the most incredible experience I have had in India so far. Please come visit, eat the delicious food, meet the amazing staff, learn about the reality of acid attacks and the incredible work the people of Sheroes are doing to #stopacidattacks and empower survivors. It was an honor to be welcomed in this space full of inspirational advocates and share a joyful experience together. I hope I get another chance to visit this amazing cafe. Don't miss your chance!!!!!

We can only say that we (me and my wife) feel more motivated and empowered than ever after visiting Sheroes.
It is truly a remarkable place to be with your near and dear ones to spend beautiful and memorable moments. The food is as tasty as the amazing hospitality of the team there.
They will not charge any fees to inspire you and made you feel full of gratitude towards life for free. Even for the food, you are free to pay as per your wish voluntarily as they have not attached any price to the food.
I recommend each and every family and friend to visit there to taste the mouth watering delicacies, share a good laugh and smile with the Sheroes team and moreover to give a better meaning to the life's value system.
For boys, respect for girls will definitely increase than ever and you will learn to check your ego. For girls, you will learn to get rid of jealousy towards other girls.
We thought that we will give something before reaching there, but as we left we took an experience for life along with a lot of courage, thankfulness and kindness.

Incredible hang out place where you can eat, drink, buy souvenirs, meet incredible persons, while supporting women survivors of acid attacks. They are so welcoming and I'm so grateful to have met them and known their story. For the food and drink you pay the amount of your choice, and you can also buy some souvenirs at fixed prices to take back home.

We had two things we wanted to do in Agra: Taj Mahal and Sheroes Hangout. This cafe exceeded our expectations in food, quality and experience. This cafe stands for an important mission, and aims to bring awareness to a tough topic. From the moment you walk in, you are surrounded by positive vibes and amazing information. The food is absolutely delicious, and there is a lot to do while you wait to get your meal. They have a small documentary you can watch (about 15min) that explains their mission as well as some of the stories from survivors. They also have walls of books, awards they have earned, stories, community projects and much more for you to see. The menu is all "pay what you can", and there are various craft projects for sale in the cafe to help raise money for this incredible cause. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!

This is not just an eatery, it is a concept. It's the face, the showcase of a cause, a very important one. Burn patients are a silent disabilty, & acid-attack survivors are truly tested by fire for absolutely no fault, they are the phoenixes, risen from ashes.
An organization which gives voice, identity, respect, & livelihood support to such individuals, deserves, & claims, your attention, empathy, & monetary contribution.
That said, the food is good. Variety is sufficient, speed & service are good. There is no question of value-for-money, as no prices are printed, you give what you feel is worth. Ambience is drop-jaw awesome.
Also, we had kids with us, one aged 9, one aged 7. &, mark my words, THEY WERE COOL. They asked the relevant questions, were direct & curious, & they watched the documentary. When I thought it's getting a little heavy for them & tried to distract them, they "shushed" me. Please, take your kids there. There is no "too small" to introduce your child to humanity, empathy, & yes, also to the horrors of the world, to which these women were undeniably subjected, some at the age of 3 years ...
You get to interact with the team, both survivors, & others in both ground-staff & managerial roles. They encourage conversation but do not breathe down your neck. They ask you to watch the documentary, but don't force anything else. There are merchandise on display, which you may choose to buy, or not.
It is definitely a nice coffee/chai place. It's a great photo place. Let's admit, it's also a "I care"-snob place, but that's a good kind of snob. It is also a nice cozy quite-time place if you want to. & it is more.
