Located not far from taj mahal and can easily be reached by auto. Crowded during evening with lots of people of roaming. Mama Franky and Cafe coffee day is also there. On the road you will find various ice-creams and tea shops.
Chaat gali is also in between the market and you can find a variety of items like shoes, petha ,ornaments and many more . Live perfomance also happen in the evening.

Sadar Bazar
Visited month - February 2020.
Sadar bazar is famous for chaat & snacks. We had eaten basket chaat, pani puri , pav bhaji, soya chaap, pasta & last faluda ice cream. We liked basket chaat the most.
As we all know agra is also famous for agra ka petha & Panchi petha is very famous for petha. One of Panchi petha outlet is in Sadar bazar.. so we bought varieties of petha like pvaan , Kesar & mango flavour petha😊

All the monuments and heritage building are up only till evening 5 pm. The evening walk around Sadar Bazaar is highly recommended.

Its nice and clean place to go. Well let and very few hawkers around to trouble you ( I mean, after your experience outside all the monuments during the day).

This bazaar suits all pockets. The small and king size. One can pretty much find whatever you need in this place.

Tips:
1) Must visit the 'chat wali gali'. A small street full of local chats. Decently clean.
2) The famous Agra Petha can be bought at Panchi Petha shop. This guy sells only petha and its really delicious. There are basically 2 types, the regular and the angoori. The angoori is juicy and soft. The 'angoori' variety is recommended.

Make sure to keep your tempers and carry shoe covers if you plan to go inside the mausoleum. Traveling till the parking of Taj Mahal is fine. From that point onwards starts the nightmare !!! Beggars will start haunting you forcing to buy shoe covers which is mandatory to enter the mausoleum of Taj Mahal. Tickets for Mausoleum can be purchased near the entrance of the mausoleum. Once you reach the ticket counter you ll be surrounded by self-made guides trying to convince you of the best experience ever if you hire them !!! What ever space is left between you and them is encroached by the souvenirs sellers. After walking few mins you enter the security queue where the guard suddenly asks for an identity card and not sure why this is not clearly mentioned in the ASI website. Enter the 4 walls of the beauty and the view is stunning. That's when you realize why its one of the 7 wonders of the world. But before you take a sigh of relief photographers start hovering over your head and blocking every view possible of the monument. Upon return there were not enough golf karts to take people back to the parking. So it was the survival of the fittest !!!

I went here because tourist sites talked about this bazaar. The selection is pretty limited and unremarkable, but the prices are high. The BEST bazaar/market in Agra, and likely the whole golden triangle is Sudhash Bazaar, located 500m from Agra Red Fort parking. Your paid guide won’t take you. They will say the bazaar is too congested, and they likely won’t tell you how close it is to Agra Fort. Sudhash Bazaar is where the locals go. It has The finest quality and the Best prices. I wish I went to Sudhash before I went anywhere else.

Fun market. Yes like all markets overseas they are alittle aggressive. To be expected. Just ignore them if not interested. Do not pay over 1000 rupees for anything. Of course they want 4 thousand for a nice shirt since I am white. Walked out. Bought at the next vender for 700 lol. Yes you must bargain or pay triple or more.

Most things are 400 to 1000 max. Do not pay more. These families own business and they expect you to barter. If you don’t it is no fun and they laugh later at you when you leave.
Remember this is why foreigner markets are fun. Don’t get mad when they all want you to bye. Just ignore if not interested and keep walking.

In all fun have fun. My wife is best. I whisper to her 1000 is fine after I talk them down from 2500. But she says no. 500. Or we go. As you start walking they call you back. And 500.

My wife wins. Have fun out there. Remember they all need to eat. So yes every booth wants you to bye. Expect this and it will be fun.

1. Good for evening stroll
2. DONT BUY marble goods from Jaiswals..as they are rated very very expensive there.
3. Buy original Panchi petha from here
4. Dont miss chaat gali
5. Dont forget to try soya chaap gravy in chaat gali..its awesome.
6. Regular showrooms, nothing special, local made footwears and duplicate stuffs. Quite costly.

Really this was amazing to visit the sadar bazaar of Agra where we all went just for fun and found that the bazaar wasn't crowded, though was crowded in one of the streets where Indian delicacies like Tikki Chat Gol gappe etc etc were being sold, but the main market was not at all chaotic, crowd or messy. We found parking place easily and cafe coffee day also. The car parking was paid but not pinching and the owner was friendly and not fussy.I tried my jeans there and surprisingly found one branded jeans from a big shop. Really we were fascinated by the calm and easy sadar bazaar but shall warn the visitors that Agra's famous sweet called Panchhi Petha is available only at co authorized shops so do not get duped from alike fictitious shops....
