Beautiful!

Definitely worth a visit if in Agra for the Taj Mahal. Was surprised how interesting the compound was and how beautiful the stone carvings were.

While the Agra Fort was beautiful, the Amber Fort outside Jaipur is more impressive. My brother and I were also hassled by staff which took away from our experience. We purchased discounted tickets having been to the Taj Mahal that morning, but while in the security line staff tried to get us to pay the regular price we which we... More

The two UNESCO beauties should be done side by side due to the family's history. As noted in the Taj review, a certified guide can really make this a memorable experience.

Me and my wife visited in Jan 2017. We didn't have that much expectations but were positively surprised. I recommend you have a guide as this gives so much more. We hired one outside for 400 rupees and he guided for approx 1h. There are many things you would miss without guide.

Part of our tour, elephant rides were already booked, apprehensive, but enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Elephants are supposed to be well looked after, often rested, but have my doubts about this. You can easily walk up though. It is an experience. Photographers? take photos as you ride up the path and hassle you on your way... More

The Agra fort is an impressive structure complete with wet and dry moats and numerous booby traps for its enemies. Gives a feel of living in medieval times. The love emperor shahjahan had for mumtaz can also be appreciated here as he agreed to an eight year house arrest by his son Aurengzeb on condition he be confined to the... More

A commanding and mighty fortress. If you are in Agra, you have to visit this one. A massive complex which give an excellent overview about the Indian Mughal defensice architecture. After visiting the Taj, go here directly and plan one full day for both of them.

While it is sometimes forgotten about due to it's world famous neighbor, the Taj Mahal, this architectural relic is a must see. Located about 5 miles from the Taj, the Agra Fort a a true masterpiece. And it's MASSIVE. Tourist have access to about 20% as the rest is occupied by the India Army (it's still an active military base).... More

This plaace is worth a visit. Besides the massive architecture the place will also offer an insights of the massive water storage tank that was built at Mughal era. Most of the visitors happen to skip visiting the exterior of the tank as it's not glamorously written on the stone. Else the magnifico view of the Taj Mahal is worth... More
