This red sandstone palace complex is historic of the Agra dynasty. A must visit in the area. Early morning best to avoid scores of visitors.

Like most of the forts in India, this fort also has a steep entrance and interesting stories associated to various places inside it. It would be good to hire a local guide from there to learn about all the stories.

The white marble addition from the 5th Mogul was awesome. Love the daughters chariot rooms. And as far as prisons go, quite an amazing but sad view.

Whilst extremely historic and well preserved, I wouldn't come to Agra just to see the Fort. It does have great views across to the Taj Mahal.
